"GERRY": we all know who is being spoken about and he seems to have a charmed life and it makes one wonder is it because he DOES buy another years membership every other month?
"GERRY": This is probably happening very rarely if at all. The basic problem is what to do about people whose pleasure is to play each move in each game 5 minutes before the timeout expires. The answer is nothing, nothing can be done because the rules are respected. Too bad. it's a tough world.
I think one other thing that a lot of people would like to know is, Is there a limit as to how many times a person can do this in a year. Would the extreme situation of a person buying another year's membership every other month be allowed? (Of course one would have to question that person's motives as to being on a turn based game site) Sounds extreme, and crazy, but there are people who have come pretty close to doing that. Very unfair to their opponents. (And everyone else who happens to be in the same tournaments as them)
"GERRY": Yes indeed that is the way to go for me. I'm still learning about things in this site. I guess some people like playing against turtles but my mileage varies a lot, so i will use your advice.
Constellation36: It's very simple to do.Delete all your games you don't like.Take a loss because it's only a game.Play games & tournaments that have a RED DOT with # of days :) Anybody that has that is here to play & have fun:))
pauloaguia: The number of games a person has says little about his/her ability to play. And where did i mention that?
My point is i find having 900 games running( Good lord!) an exaggeration. If you make 5 days for each move in every single game then the opponent suffers. But you suffer also as you are not really enjoying the games as you become a part of a hunting. You hunt making moves. This site is supposed to be a fun site where players play for fun mainly and fun disappears if you play against a turtle that moves every sun's eclipse.
It's not a money tournament where players play for money so they have to make serious decisions about so time control is one, two, 5 or more days or even a month. I'm a professional Chess player and have played correspondence also but that was different as you only have to play some games and it is for rating i.e money!
I'm not saying they should play crappy moves here because it's for fun, but i'm saying that i think people lose the point of all this.

Constellation36: And why some players have more than 100-200 started games at a certain time? I mean if they can't keep up with so many games they should not play them and not play like snails.
The number of games a person has says little about his/her ability to play. I used to have almost 900 games running at one time. Every day I brought my waiting games list down to 0. Many of the games I didn't play every day, though, because my opponents weren't fast enough. Others I played over a dozen moves a day, because my opponent moved as soon as I did. If I waited for those games to finish before starting new ones, I'd still be waiting for those that aren't that fast to play... Just to say that having 100-200 games, doesn't mean much per se...
Thanks. Sounds like a logical rule. I hope my opponent is not insulted by deleting this game but i can't stand waiting one hundred days for him to play even the starting move!

What is Delete Game for? I suspect it is for deleting the current game you play but why anyone is allowed to do that? I mean if someone sees that he is losing, is he allowed to delete the game or what?
I'm playing against a player with someone that has some 500 started games to play(LOL!) and he is moving slower than a turtle. In fact it is 4 days now that he hasn't moved at all in his first move. This is a torture and i don't like that kind of games. I want to delete the game and i have this option. If i do this what are the consequences?
Brian1971: Fencer said in the BrainKing.info site back in November that he has been working on a "multiplayer card game" - and the good guess would be the chips would be used for that.
Bernice: That's a good question. I know for myself, I have the BrainKing time set to Czech time - so I know that for example, in about 5 minutes from this post - Sunday will start. (where as it will be 5pm Saturday for myself) [If I need to know what time it is for real, it is easy enough to look at the wall]
Even though this does not answer your question - but can be used as a suggestion so questions like this won't matter.
when I set my weekends is that MY time or Czech time.....it is just that there is a cyclone coming and rather than take holidays I changed my weekend to monday and tuesday MY time hopefully, seeing as it is Sunday already here
fakar10: they're very good with aioli, barbecue, guacamole or even simple mayonnaise. If you're in an exotic mood you can also try hummus or nam pla. I'd avoid Muhammara, unless you have an extra strong stomach, or a supply of Alka selzer nearby at hand. I hear they've invented some new form of instant diet pills, they might come in handy later in the evening.
