Walter Montego: Like you this site is worth lots to me too. I think it's a great site to play in when all is working as it should. Long may this site continue to run.
Walter Montego: agreed Walter...the GLOBS as they aare/were called for short have a lot to answer for don't they....strange how people know that but dont say it....thanks very much for confirming what I (and others) have been saying for years.

This site is worth lots to me. I wish Fencer was more active like he was eight years ago, but it's still a great site. I too am a lot less active on this site than I was back then, but I blame that on the creation of the global moderators and some of the things that happened at the beginning of that period. In fact, it was a link by you Pedro that tricked me into ending my personal embargo of this discussion board.
Subject: Re: This site's current estimated worth is...
Heluvagi: I don't think he can be arsed. He has stated several times that BK is no longer one of his priorities. This and the deterioration of this site I (and actually, we all) have been experiencing is also making me believe that BK is not worth much for the time being.
Subject: Re: This site's current estimated worth is...
rod03801: I would take a wild guess that it would be...anyone who buys it.
Pedro Martínez: Really? I have no idea what the site is worth (nor do I know why anyone really cares), but it seems pretty apparent that those sites are automatically calculating revenue based on a site's ad revenue potential. I doubt there's any automated website that calculates a site's paid membership revenues.
Subject: Re: This site's current estimated worth is...
Pedro Martínez: haha I checked my blog and it's worth 9 dollars. It's owned by blogspot. I do get about 50-100 page visits a day and am nearing the 200,000 page visits marks. As for the 9$ worth of my blog, that's twice as high as I'd rate it.
Subject: Re: This site's current estimated worth is...
Pedro Martínez: Funny. You can Google : "What is Brainking.com worth?" and you find figures that are quite different from each other. Wonder who determines which is "correct".
Bernice: I have noticed that too, and the same pop-up appears at logout; a real nuisance! The problem is that the castle layout is programmed into the log-in page, and settings only controls a player's main page. I'm surprised more players haven't mentioned this here.
It would be much easier (and less aggravating) if the site figured out what recent change has caused this, and alleviate it, or just get rid of that goofy bat (or whatever it is flying across the screen) altogether.
Thad: thanks but that didnt work...and tried all settings....I click on login and have to wait until I get the "message" click on YES to stop running the script and then on login AGAIN and then that silly damn things flies across the page and then I am in...:(
From the menu on the left of the main BrainKing page, choose Settings from under Profile. Then, on the General tab (which should be the default) at the very top is Main Layout. Change to one of the other layouts. Then you won't see the dragon and the script that runs it should stop being run whenever you bring up that page.
Iamon lyme: it hasnt stopped me from doing anything either...but that darned flying contraption dont fly until I say yes...at least I know it is BK and not me....Thanks crosseyed, for your input as well....makes me feel much better knowing it isn't myself....
Bernice: Same here. I click on "Yes" to stop running script... hopefully that's the right choice.
I get a different message at another site that tells me a cross script is running. I have no idea what these runny scripts or cross scripts are all about, but so far it hasn't prevented me from doing anything.
Every time I got to log into here a window pops up and says...
Stop Running Script?
A scrift on this page is causing internet explorer to run slowly. If it continues to run your computer might become unresponsive...there is a yes and no button...I always click on yes to STOP RUNNING SCRIPT..
What would be causing this - it has only just started in the last couple days?
It doesn't happen anywhere else except here...I can't log in until i click Y or N
Artful Dodger: in a faraway mountain valley. Just visiting the civilization for some days. I'll go back 'hiding' tomorrow. Have a nice time Brainkingers.
Iamon lyme: I think that's the ghost of Christmas past. Or my uncle Ben. Both are (were) sort of, well, challenged intellectually. But they did manage to stay in a Holiday Inn when they were alive (Ben still resides there in room 101 - IF ya know what I mean).
;) And now back to our regularly scheduled BK.com board stuff.
Roberto Silva: I was trying to text a client that I was running late for an appt , must of taken me 5 minutes to punch in "I'm running late" on the keypad, they're not built for stubby fingers
