I agree about Walls. They are public and should be treated as such, and people who can't behave themselves there should be banned from posting on all Walls. I have personally said that DOZENS of times since they appeared here. However, the owner of the wall definitely DOES have the ability to delete and ban, but that's not good enough.

Dragon71: And that is when you use the "Blocked User" list to take care of THAT. There are solutions available to you. If you choose not to use them, then that is your own fault.

Also a good lesson NOT to give out your personal information to someone on a game site. Some people do it over and over and over again, and continue to whine when it bite's them in the rear end.

Fencer,

I suggest that you create a "suggestion box". I don't know if such a thing occurs in the Czech Republic, but here in the US it is common amongst many employers and some businesses interested in what their customers want. The idea is that people drop notes in a physical box anonymously for their employer/manager to read and perhaps that suggestion will lead to a change in policy.

Perhaps you might create such a "suggestion box" here at BK. If the project you are working on is wanted by 3 paying customers, while 300 paying customers are begging for a different feature, then perhaps your time is better spent providing for those 300 paying customers instead of following your intuition as to what improvements your site could use.

By the way, this post was inspired by a suggestion of mine which I am only now posting to you. When I create a "new game" to be posted to the "waiting games" page, I would very much prefer to simply type in the rating (both minimum and maximum) range that I want to face, rather than have to choose between 100 BKR increments.

Thanks in advance for your consideration,
happyjuggler0

Just to be sure I checked your game
Now people can see you're indeed in a much better position and the "BK-system" was debet on your lost game
Tournament:  pro všechny , Discussion
Game ID: 4233565
Score of finished games (I Am The Best - Varazslo, Backgammon Race): 0 : 1 (= 0) (show games | Show all games)
Time per move (?): 3 days, standard vacation

Public game (visible for other players)

Rated game (the result will be calculated for players' BKR)
Layout: Castle (change)
Board size: 1 (change)
<span>I Am The Best timed out.
<span>Varazslo is the winner.

Yes Jamie, you're totally right What a bloody mistake the creator of this tournament made, by 3 days a move and standard vacation.
Or is this what you meant with your question: How is this new plan going to stop people who don't move in games where they are losing?
Hmm you let me think now.... LOL

By the way, thanks for the message you send me

I guess you didn't lose that game because your opponent didn't move? Probably he was better

I like the new system using hours instead of days for vacation.
Will the number of hours for vacation also be mentioned as days, so as to have an idea about the remaining time ?

in my events box (in box) I only keep the tournaments I have won, the achievements I have won and the ponds I have won.

I really like the fact that is will add 1 hour to ALL GAMES - and not just the ones that timed out.

Even though it hasn't been a problem for me for awhile since I got my game count down - when I had 1,000+ games and something would come up and I was unable to play for a few days - having the time only added to games that timed out mean all my games suddenly had less then 24 hours to play... meaning sometimes it would take me a couple extra vacation days to "catch up" to normal play.

I agree with you Fencer, less options makes an automated system less abusive. Keep it that way. Even for a turned based game-site , set rules for those who have never seen a real gameboard in their life or just people trying to abuse the system. Internet has given these options, But we / i also want to keep; a nice pace, stay interested in the games, not losing the flow, the feel and emotion of a game while waiting for an opponent.

happyjuggler0: You might decide it's not worth using up lots of vacation to save one or two games from timing out, when you might need the vacation later in the year to save many more games from timing out. This could happen if you're desperately trying to finish your games before going away, but due to a slow player or two, you don't quite make it.

Because of the reason Fencer is changing it. Some like to pick their own vacation days...then cancel them so they get the extended time to play but NEVER actually use a vacation day
