AbigailII: Yes, me and my opponent both have Auto pass turned on. At the bottom of game page it states that "This game uses auto pass". If it doesn't work, why the sign is there then?
Thad: Personally, I try to bring the subject step by step. First, I type "gg", if my opponent still drags the game I type "GG", then "GG!!!!!!", then some ugly smileys... And I end up with blocking players.

Thad: Since the game starts with 156 pips to go and the largest non-double number rolled is 11 (6+5), it should be: 156/11=14.181818.... So it seems that 15 rolls is the minimum, assuming you are not hit even once.
nabla: In fact, alanback has proposed a week ago to have this option implemented: "Skip my turns until I actually have a chance to move a piece". He was referring to a game with the cube while some has a piece on bar. It is unlikely to double while waiting and your only job is press "Roll" - "Submit" - "Roll" - "Submit"...
Hrqls: You are right, but all I say is that we can use the idea and upgrade it with cube. Everyone will be happy - both Cube-Lovers and Aggressive-Play-for-Gammon-Lovers. After all, these parameters can be set during GGT creation and we can have same variants as we do for SingleGame and MultiPintMatch.
joshi tm: I agree, it shouldn't be a problem to apply this scoring system within a multipoint match with cube. Players will have their BKR calculated in the end of the match (as usual), but their score within tourney will be calculated according to "1-2-3-0.5" system (as Hrqls described).
We shouldn't use "man-to-man" because some people say "man" is a sexist way to describe something. They tend to replace "postman" with "postperson", "barman" with "bartender", "salesman" with "salesperson" etc. (you get the idea).
My idea for naming it is "Grand Gammon Tournament" (GGT) - sounds close enough to the "original" name, plus it describes the idea well.
As for the way TTT are conducted, sounds almost like the standart tourneys we have here, except limiting groups to 8 or 7 players (Shurig tables). In TTT all play in a single group. And of course, scoring system is what makes it different and entertaining.
Thad: Since you are from the USA, I assume your settings are in English. My idea is: find the answer in game rules page in English, then send the URL to your opponent, replacing ".../en/..." with ".../tr/..."
«Edit» Don't bother searching the URL. Here, I found this link for you.
Don't you think it would be nice if we were able to offer "Use Autopass" to our opponent in the middle of the game? Many players are not aware of existence of this feature, not to speak of enabling it in their Settings.
I love this feature. I use it. In fact, I will not accept an invitation without the autopass enabled. It is a mystery for me - what's the big deal that your opponent can see your dices. They will see it anyway when their turn comes. So what? Furthermore, I will support all newly added goodies that would speed up my games.
Here is a screenshot from another backgammon site - see what they have.

alanback: I'll try to translate the phrase "ВЯРНО, ПЪЛНА СВИНЩИНА" word by word, then will give you its possible meanings: Вярно = True, agree Пълна = Absolute, Complete, Entire Свинщина = Squalor, Filth, Swinnish/dirty trick, Mess
Versions:
"I agree with you, this is absolutely dirty trick."
"That's true, it was very/extremely hoggish."
"Oh yes, we completely f**d up!"
"F**k me, I was so unlucky this game!" --> this is the most accurate translation, as I asked the player (N.Nakov - autor of the phrase in question) and he explained the situation to me personally. It's about this game. Unfortunately it is Private and not available for viewers. I can ask for game's code if anyone is interested.
