Subject: Re:
AbigailII: I agrea. Most players here are not specifically fast or slow. Most will play within the time limits no mater how long or short they are. Set a time limit of a move a week and expect to see 1 move per week. Set a time limit of 1 move per day and expect to see a move every day.

Now it would be nice to be able to set time limits in the game filters. My schedual doesn't allow me to play less then 7 day games and I don't want to see any game with a limit of 7 days or be put in a team match of less then 7 days.

BIG BAD WOLF: The only time I agrea that a message should not stop auto pass is if both users are using autopass and both people will autopass back and forth several times but as soon as one person is no longer being autopassed the other should not be autopassed so they can read the message and reply back.

Fencer: I also don't see why both sides need to agrea to auto pass. On my server it does not let people use auto pass on fisher clock games because of the advantage it would give to the other oponent. And I have only ever found one person that had a problem with autopass keep playing and that player just wrote a message in each play.

I think it is far more useful to have the following rules:
1) Auto pass can not be used on fisher clock games unless both sides agrea to it
2) Each user can chose to enable or disable autopass on any particular game at any time for themselves(Usually near the end of ludo games i like to disable autopass)
3) Any user can decide when creating a game that autopass is not allowed.(this way those people that don't want autopass can still have there way but other wise each user can use it or not at there discresion.)
4) In the settings page every player can set there default mode for each game type.

BIG BAD WOLF: Yes that is a good warning I should have writen myself( The only thing the password is used for is it attempts to log on to BK once if it works it writes your name into the session info and gives full access to the site. You could change your password at any time before and after and it would not care.). I will give full source codes to any that want. I was just board and decided to try and make the idea functional instead of just requesting something. THe idea is kind of like the bug tracker with a couple big diferences.

1) Every user can make posts on every entry.
2) Every user can set there own priority for a request.
3) Fencer can report the status of any request(though I never bothered to code that ability in since I highly doubted he would log on to the site as himself).

Basically a fellowship with each request being its own board.

I would like to see some kind of formal feature request. Something were we can have chats under each request and vote on how important it is to us. Something like this:

http://mctrivia.com/BK/feature.php

P.S. The page is completely functional for all registered BK users. Though I did not spend much time to write it.

Fencer: For example anyone using autoplayer on my server just choses what game types they want played. They can turn individual games off if they like but by default it will play any auto pass or auto move games they have.

It would be nice if there were in the settings page a tab for what game types you want autoplayer to play.

Well how about a "I feel lucky" option that submits the option without showing you the board after selecting.

1) select I feel lucky
2) select move to next game
3) select game piece to move
4) repeat 3 for next game...

Could you do one of the following of each set please(A is my preference):
1a) After pressing a colour you can click as many places as you like and pressing another colour switches colours
1b) Pressing a colour fills them in from left to right

2a) Allow first player to see there peg results imedetly.
2b) Blank out pegs(empty boxes no holes) for first player so you can't accidentally think none of the colours you selected are present.

With school and work I am only capable of playing games with vacation available incase I need the extra time do to sudenly being busy. I like being in teams but I had to remove myself from pretty much all because there are 2 features missing.

1) Ability to set what types of games I will play(vacation and 5+ day, excluding no time limit).
2) The ability to set max number of games. (Set in able to take team games when over 500 games.)

These settings should be for the entire site not per fellowship.

Some features that would be nice to cut down on needed bandwidth. Of course all of these options should be optional at users discretion:

1) On boards show only messages that are marked new or are part of the chain of messages marked new.

3) Limit number of games in the game list window to x number of games

24 to 48 : x8
48 to 96 : x5
96 to 168 : x3

I would really like a "make move and don't check option" so when I am playing games I can check a box in the board then just click on the move I want to make and it would play it then go to the next game no verifying that it was the move I wan't then when I get to a game I want to verify I can just unclick the box and it would work exactly as it is now. Preferably the box would be somewere on the game page in a place you would not accidentally hit say at the botom of the move list.

Carl: If you use firefox hexkids greasemonkey skript can remove the flags and even the side bar but it makes no difference in the speed the page loads at. Internet Explorer I find loads the page a lot quicker then IE when not using extremely slow wi-fi signals. It would be nice if there was something like a text only version were the board shows up as letters and nothing extra comes up. As a start it could be pretty easy to implement if the person wants text only print out the board using the same table but replace the images with say X and O for ludo or for chess P,R,N,K,B,Q. Also allowing the move history and side bars options that can be removed.

My internet connection is not reliable but I would like to be able to play games still on brainking.

It would be nice if you could make a windows application that could buffer the games I have to make a move on and those I have made a move on and in the background keep trying to download new games and submiting my moves back to the site.

This way even if I don't have an internet connection I can still play until I have played on all games that were my turn to play on last time I had an internet connection.

Summertop: Inactive player should be any player that has not loged on to BK in 1 year. In the case of a Black rook they don't get deleted but they should forfet all there games.

But wouldn't there vacation days run out far sooner? Black Rooks have 40 days that means by February they should lose the game if they have not signed on.

It is more important for laders and team games were the captain curently could just keep adding them to games even though they aren't playing.

gambler104: We could write a php script for Fencer to see who is actively using the AutoPlayer so those people could be skiped in the move and play next offline option. Also Fencer can parse the user list on the main page for the list also.

Easiest thing to do though is always sort games based on the ones that will time out first. Autoplayed games will still go to the end of the list. Besides other then Ludo the autoplayer seldome plays on the same game more then a couple times in a row.
