Yes, it is on the graph, wellywales. You may have to click back to last year or even the year before to see it, but the highest rating is there.

If you hover your mouse over the picture of the pawn, knight or rook next to a persons name then you'll see what country they're from and some other info.

Its not always possible to message first. Ideally yes, thats what most mods would like to do. But in some situations its better to remove the post then message afterwards if its likely to cause a big off-topic discussion. Like this one for example! Abigail has brought a private matter to a board where it isn't really 'on topic'. But there have been so many replies to it in a fairly short time that to delete it all would be wrong, especially when its drifted 'on topic' (if mods should remove a post or ask the author to remove it).
But different mods deal with things in different ways too, and each post is acted on differently depending what it says.

I hardly think this is the board to discuss scrabble! It isn't a feature of brainking.

Princess Alison if you follow the first two guidelines from the user agreement about problems with other users it should solve it.

Put that user on your Enemy list
Hide and ignore the other users post. Instead of starting a "flame war" with the user, just ignore them. It takes a bigger person to ignore than try to sink to their level.

Posting about a specific problem here isn't really a good idea because if they read your posts they may feel the need to respond, and before you know it you're in a public argument which would get both of you hidden!

Subject: Re:
Princess Alison: From the brains page;

For example, if you want to buy one-year Brain Knight, you must have at least 500 Brains. When you have enough Brains to buy the particular membership, a new form will appear on the Profile page of the user you want to buy a membership (yours or anybody else's) and you will be able to use this way of payment.

So you would need at least 500 brains before you can get a membership.

Trust Rose to get down to bare bones Crazies and spammers...!!

Thats right reza, theres no choice yet. It could be something Fencer might consider having as an option if enough people want it.

I'm sure she didn't intend to, Princess Alison. But either way its probably best addressed in private or at a board like general chat.

Marfitalu, only new news appears on your main page. You can see all old news items by clicking 'what is new' on your menu;

rtv, put simply, your rating depends on your opponents rating too. If you win 10 games with players who have ratings of 1000 or less, your rating will likely be lower than if you'd won games against players with 1800+ ratings.
Its quite a bit more complicated, but thats a very basic idea of it.

You have to push down the lid to open them.

OK not really! Go to 'settings' and tick 'show smileys'.

LOL give it a try and see if its what you were looking for!

*edited to add... don't ever be embarrassed asking about something. If you don't know, then there will be other people that don't either so you're doing all those people a favour too.

Clay, you mean to see all the baords at once? After you clicked on 'discussion boards' you can click on 'expand all boards' and that will show you every public discussion board on the site.
