You might have to start a new one...

redsales, it was for your fellowship wasn't it? I just created the new games at HOME and they went through fine. Have you created teams for these games? That could be the problem.

Subject: INTERVIEWS......
ARE BACK!!!! (Thanks Fencer!)

And first victim - erm - interviewee - will be... *drum roll please* .....

BIG BAD WOLF!!!

I'm going to start off with a completely clean sheet so there are NO old questions stored. Anyone who wants the same questions asked at each interview, send me them again. Any question you would like put to BBW, send it to me, and please add if its ok to use your name with the question. Some people like to stay anonymous and if you don't tell me I won't know!

Linda, you gave me a list of questions and said "please include them with every interview". I didn't go through them all each time to see how appropriate they were to each person being interviewed. I had a template with questions people had asked me to include on each one (that would normally be appropriate no matter who it was) and I built off that for new questions I received.

Bernice, I'm not quite sure what happened at moneybookers the first time I used it! I was sat with my mobile, but it all went through without a text.
The first time I used the site, I think I clicked the wrong thing, I tried to 'pay by credit card' instead of another option? I think you're supposed to click on 'pay through a moneybookers account' (or similar) and then enter your card. It was some simple mistake like that I made, and I nearly gave it up and didn't go back! But I'm glad I did. Now its set up, payments are simplicity itself. (Just what I need!) If you want to give it another try, have my email or an IM window open and I'll go through it with you. It IS possible without a mobile number! (And if they absolutely insist, you can use mine!)

As far as I know, Dano, there are no German customer service people.

Its up to Fencer! I'd like to do them again, they were great fun and a lot of people liked them, but they did create a lot of work to put them on the BK.info site. What do you think, Fencer?

Bernice, if you go to Brainking.info, there is a list of representatives that can help you with payments. Choose the one in your country and send them a message or email.

I know of one other person having similar problems, a webTV user. Maybe thats the problem?

vertigo, once a game as finished there can be a period of up to an hour (I believe) before it registers on your game sheet and you receive a message. The system updates evry so often, so notifications are not instant.

11. August 2004, 02:20:51

But the last game you won brought your total won games to 2. Your opponent had already won 3. Which made them the overall winner of the 5 games.

harley
LOL no worries, easy mistake to make.

Are you sure the match ID is right? Match 15991 shows a game that doesn't have you as a player!

Dolittle, game ID 417315 shows that your opponent won 3 games, and you won 2. So overall your opponent is the winner.

*edited to add* it was a 5 games match, which means you play 5 games, and whoever wins the most games, wins overall.

Thats enough, guys.

NO!! LOL! Its because this is NOT the sports board! LOL! If you want to rub it in, at least do it at the right board! :oP

Hi, frs, welcome to BrainKing :o)

Adding pictures to profiles is quite new to BrainKing, which is probably why there isn't much information about it yet. Unfortunatly, pawn members can't add pictures to profiles.

I'm glad its not just me! I'm only on AOL, I don't normally get them, not that I visit many other sites! I like Andersp's explanation! LOL, that will do for me!

Does anybody else keep getting 'install on demand' boxes on screen to download language support? I've had them for Chinese and Korean characters now!

24. July 2004, 22:43:05

My mistake! The 'edit' button is next to their name in the fellowship list. If you press that, it should give you the option to turn them into a 'member', and that should take away their captain status.

24. July 2004, 22:41:22
harley
Antje, next to where it says 'captain', can't you use the edit button?

Otherwise its as Crissie says, you'd have to remove them from the fellowship. Maybe with a note to explain why?

21. July 2004, 14:48:05

OK thats enough. You've both had your say, any more will be deleted.

You'll notice that NOT a floosie has done me the great honour of being co-moderator with me. Go easy on her! (Or she'll bounce you into next week! LOL) Thanks, NOT a floosie!

Derek, when someone buys a membership, they can have 'brains' given to you. Theres an explanation of it on the - erm - either brains or FAQ page!
Different amounts of brains can be given depending on which membership level is purchased.

18. July 2004, 00:21:39
harley
LOL ok, ok! You're both touchy and neither of you are sorry! Now take it elsewhere ;o)

18. July 2004, 00:04:15
harley
LOL Andersp, that wasn't what I meant. I mean its suspicious when people play loads of rated games with one person, and resign after a few moves in each game. Or just lose badly loads of times. Thats whether its the same computer or not. Personally, I'm not suspicious of anyone. If they want to cheat, go ahead! Its not hurting me, if they have a high rating through cheating then I'd like to play them and take some of that rating! Ha ha!

17. July 2004, 23:09:21
harley
Smart Alx is Masterminds son.
My son and daughter have been playing here recenty, and we play each other - although we do make sure its unrated games! I think its as BBW says, its ok in most circumstances, but you can help yourself by playing unrated games and playing 'normally', for example, not winning 15 games against your relative in one day so your rating goes very high! Thats just suspicious behaviour!

*Refrains from saying, "it doesn't take much to confuse poor gooner"* because its not the appropriate board!

16. July 2004, 00:25:29
harley
For no other reason than to confuse you, gooner! ;o)
Only kidding, its probably still a bug.

15. July 2004, 14:43:12
harley
redsales, go to their profile. You would normally see a link that says 'send message' next to their name. if you're on their enemies list you won't see that.
Nor will there be the option to invite them to a game.

13. July 2004, 19:35:11
harley
I just checked, they've been combined into one :o)

13. July 2004, 19:33:09
harley
BBW, is there a separate board for dark battleboats or have they been combined into the classic battleboats board? This discussion would be better on the appropriate board anyway!

12. July 2004, 17:22:05
harley
Well, I don't get out much from BrainKing, so all these new sites are a novelty for me! :oD

12. July 2004, 16:57:03
harley
Have another look, Stevie! Go on the jokes board and you get ads for lame joke sites! On the games you get ads that match your name! It must be a word association thing, I think its great!

12. July 2004, 16:50:17
harley
I don't think its a good idea to only have them on one page. I'm finding different ads on different pages, and some of them are great! (Like the chess shop!) I like to see what new ones appear every time I change page!

12. July 2004, 14:09:49
harley
I was looking at the chess shop, Bumble! They've got some really great stuff in there, Simpsons chess sets, Alice in Wonderland, and boards, books - and they also do backgammon sets. I'd love to visit that shop.

12. July 2004, 11:53:44
harley
I just turned the banner ads on, they're quite discreet, aren't they?! I thought they'd be great big ads right across the top of the page, flashing and blinking at you to click them! But they're neatly fitted in the page!

11. July 2004, 19:53:50
harley
We've got one, he's called MadMonkey ;oD
(Only kidding, MM!)

9. July 2004, 12:54:34

It stood for the 'killing machine' (machines?).

It was an old club that was here, Walter Montego. They're not here any longer.
