I think problem with rating in BG games is not so big. Most of the cheaters are pawns so they will disappear in one month w/o finished game. And if someone will earn high rating due to his skill and luck, than he wont be able to defend it in longer period. In BG it is not possible to win say 25 games in the row. And if yes, you are really good or lucky player and probably both. And every defeat will cut your BKR by HUGE ammount of points. Especially if it occur in your very games. But it does not mean I am accepting cheaters. I really hate people who play only side with advantage. I would appreciate rule, you must have at least 33% finished games with color with disadvantage. And if not, you will be expelled from ladder until you fullfil this condition.

I comunicated with Filip about cheater too, but my evidence wasnt sufficient.

AbigailII/Constellation36: I think there is link. Game with cube is played as tripple variant. These games dont know gammons and backgammons so there is no reason to use cube. tripple variants has developed from cube game and earning points is connected to gammon and backgammon. And if this games dont know g&b so there is no reason to play them as tripplegammon.

OK, I will try again:)

There was mentioned chess rating isnt good for backgammon. Chess rating is calculated after tournament. And winner (or whatever else w/ same ammount of points) cant lose his rating. Say, there is tournament where is playing player A w/ rating 2100 and thre other players w/ ratings around (B, C and D) 1900. Player A must earn 75% of points to save his rating. Say players ABC beat player D and rest of games are draw. Then player A has 2pts, so he is losing rating. But due to rule mentioned above he is losing nothing.

I suggest implement this rule to protect higher rated players.

And one more thing: In chess tournaments winner and players with same ammount of points as winner dont loose rating. So, in case BKR will be counted on the end of tournament (or section) this rule will be aplicable and higher rated players can play much more tournaments.

I would like mentioned when was BKR racalculated there were less than 15 people with BKR higher than 2100. Now there is 25 such players...
