BBW: The points are more important. Only when two teams have the same points, the score matters. It's an equivalent to S-B in normal tournaments.

Subject: Team Tournament Question
For team tournaments, I'm guessing it goes by points for who will win a section.

My question: If there is a tie with the points, is it a "tie", or does the score (win/lose) come into play?

OR am I backwards where the Score is what matters, and the "points" is the tie breaker.

Subject: Re: knights
No, you haven't been conned rebelyell, that's still the rule. Knights can join ONE team tournament at a time.
Knights can only join one tournament of a game type at a time.
But knights can play in a team tournament (backgammon for example) and also play in a normal backgammon tournament at the same time so it is possible to play in two tournaments of the same type that way.

30. July 2004, 10:56:24
Fencer
That's still valid.

No its not changed... You can obviuosly be captains of as many teams... but to play in them is different... its one of each game for normal tournaments! and one of the team tournaments.

I am sure if I am wrong I will be told... lol

And tournaments are different from normal games. On GT the ladder games are 3 days I think, and they work fine :o)

You need to do some spelling editing for it to read right by the way ;o)

Handling comes at a high price, Bernice, because chatty's blessed with the Midas touch - everything she handles turns to gold.
I'm cursed with the Midas touch in reverse. Everything I handle turns to...well, what cariad is currently shovelling in the stables.

29. July 2004, 09:37:38

Does anybody have a idea for a name of team tournaments in checkers and reversi? :-D

A dvd of this momentous event is available from chattytelly enterprises, priced €20.
The dvd examines each move in depth in slow motion and action replay.
There is also an interview with chattyfluff during the final game, lthough this does have a 'parental guidance' rating - as does chattypants' victory celebration which includes a somewhat drunken rendition of, 'The Parson and the Farm Girl'.

bumble!
Thank you for creating the clickable links to the tournaments and letting me know how it is done.
Kevin did it to the ones that I listed on the game board themselves. Makes it lots easier for someone to check it out or join.

Also another thing to watch is that a tournament will not start for a game which does not get at least 4 players signed up. Chess will have no problems, but sometimes the games like Loop Chess may not get 4 players. But there still is plenty of time for someone to signup! :-)

Sure thing! Looking down at a previous post, I think I've already demonstrated my qualifications as a dummy... lol.

Darnit, though! Now I can't decide between Loop Chess and classic. I think I need a few more classic games, so I'll go with that for now... but don't be surprised if I jump to Loop on some early morning when I, once again, haven't gotten enough sleep... or coffee.

;)
