Nothingness, you can send a money order to a service rep here in the states, that would only take a couple of days

Nothingness, do you have a friend with a mobile you can use? Its only to get the code.

Stevie, you could be right there! I don't really know about international mobiles. Thanks for pointing that out.

Nothingness, you're supposed to put in a mobile phone number (starting with +44) then wait for a text message to that phone with a code. Then you put that code in where asked.

I dont use money bookers. I use my PayPal account. I transfer my checking account funds to Paypal through my debit card to authorize a payment for my membership. Otherwise you can check out who the representatives are for your country and they can assist you in getting the payment to Fencer.

Chessmaster1000: It means that the overloaded database server performed a rollback of the transaction. It makes no harm, it just happens, rarely. Faster hardware can solve it.
BBW: Good point.

Subject: Menus
Looking at the menu list, I think you could reduce some of them.

For example - I would stick "Winners" and "Ratings" both under "Statistics. (Also would be nice if the link to the daily move leader was also in Statistics.

"Brains" can probable be stuck in the paid membership area. I would say move "Store" and "Support us" both into the Paid membership section, but since we would like more support - those should stay separate.

Anyway, that will leave room for the pond game to be listed under the "Team tournaments" area, and the Interviews can be listed... um... somewhere.

Help & FAQ are similar - maybe combine both into 1 section.

Plus depending on how long before Polls or Search will be used for anything useful, those can be removed... and added later if needed. (And not too much trouble)

Actually I found it more interesting that I did not even notice the mistake. "Do you have any pets - No, I don't like to read" :-)

Actually i probable have a copy here in my mail outbox.

Yes - that is the server news. However, when a new server news is written, or if i ever decide to hide it, it'll be gone forever! (or until I go to the Server News Discussion Board and find it from there) lol

Kevin, if I click on my Main Page link in the menu, I see a link to the pond game at the top of my main page. Does it show up there on yours, too?

I also noticed (just now) the only link to Interviews is just above this board, and I cannot find a link to that pond game (except in the server news). Could these both be placed in the left (or top with row layout) menu please? :-)

The new game - Don't need BKR's for it, but would love to see cool stats kept for it. (Like average amount of time to fall in the pond, or average first bet, etc.....)

Also my interview: I did not even notice this until mrloupcity just pointed it out to me, but 2 questions got mixed into 1.

Q. Do you own any pets? Can you tell us what they are and their names?

A. nope, do not like to read. Only thing I really read are some computer/networking magazines

(The question about what do I read is missing, and the answer about no pets except for my son or something like that is missing.) I'll have to check my home computer, which is down right now - will be reloading it tonight. Fun Fun. :-(

You know of course that if this game has an enigmatic form, THEN the same game, with the exception of announcing any players play(how many points every player played) at the end of the turn, will create a totally different game that its enigmatic nature will be much higher and it will be based more on luck.
Now by knowing how much points every player has in any move, some mathematics can be applied to ensure in some cases "perfect play".

The "" at the perfect play have to be put, since there is no perfect play when randomness comes to play....This game is not a perfect-information-game, so there is no perfect play in general.

7. December 2004, 15:12:50
Fencer
Chessmaster1000: I see. Of course, nobody knows other players' moves until the round is finished.

7. December 2004, 15:11:41
Chessmaster1000
Well i don't mean that. I know that what you are saying will happen, i just mean until a move will end (for example move 4), noone can't see what other players play AT THIS move. Of course the validity of this is obvious, but i want to be sure.......

7. December 2004, 15:10:23

Chessmaster2000: After a round is finished, everyone can see how many points each player used, who was kicked out etc. It would be no fun if you could see only your own score.

can we place bets on how long certain people will stay in the game ? ;)

7. December 2004, 15:06:54
Chessmaster1000
Of course noone will know what the player has played, right? He would just choose a number in each round........! I assume that no 7 days per move would happen as then the play will be slow, a 2 days per move is ideal for me. But it's your choice..........

No the rules are clear! I don't really know why you don't understand it...........??? I have just read it for the first time and i found it fun and easy to play...........

Just one comment. There is a rule that says: 4) If a player have no points left, he must make the next move with 0 points and it is very unlikely he will stay on the pondside.
How such a player stay in the game? I see the probability for that = 0. So (s)he would never stay in the game so what's the purpose of participating in the next move with 0 points?
Please explain where i am wrong......?

7. December 2004, 14:57:22

we need to know the minds of our fellow players .. will they gamble high or low ...

of course everyone could put in everything minus 2 in the first round .. so you could be the lonely winner if you put in everything minus 1 .. but thats a low chance :)

hmm change the bkr on every round gained instead of at the end of the complete game :)
