Subject: Clan of Xymox
Refuting the rumour of a possible break-up ( following "Farewell" and "The Best Of" releases ) Goth / Darkwave legends Clan Of Xymox are back with "Breaking Point" : possibly their most perfectly blended album yet. Featuring searing guitar lines, strong bass sounds mixed with atmospheric and powerful synths and Ronny Mooring's deep, sensuous and harmonic voice it delivers all of Xymox's trademark sounds and references offered in their iconic and unique style. This 'classic' sound is no more evident than on album opener and first single "Weak In My Knees" - a club hit par excellence : mighty tunes, powerful chorus line, a perfect sing-a-long melody which catches the listener in an instant. The following track "Calling You Out" shows them from their darker, even more aggressive side with straight guitar lines and no compromises, while "She's Dangerous" is yet another dancefloor hit - complete with infectious synth lines, driving rhythms and a permenant hook. "Eternally", "We Never Learn" and "Cynara" are songs that will capture the hearts of their older fans immediately - quiet, almost introspective, slow, thoughtful and eternal. "Be My Friend" presents another powerful club hit while album closers "Pandora's Box" - forms an interlude into the aggressive song "Under The Wire" ( a track that demonstrates perfectly the rockier side of Clan Of Xymox ) and finally "What's Going On" a melodic masterpiece that demands replaying.

Subject: Hocico
Finally, the time has come ! Immediately after the release of the "Out of Line Festival" DVD ( which included some live clips of Hocico ) fans started to feverishly demand the release of a complete show from the legendary Mexican Harsh Electro duo. Little wonder, as the Hardfloor-Electro pioneers enjoy the reputation of being one of the best live bands in the scene ( on CD, Hocico's music obviously lacks the visual component and impact of a frenetic Erk Aicrag, drenched in sweat, giving his very last bit of energy as if his life were depending on it ). On March 10th 2006, the first Hocico DVD, aptly titled "A Través De Mundos Que Arden" ( "Through Worlds That Burn" ) will finally see the light of day - Erk and Racso have been extremely busy putting together a massive collection of Exclusive Material, Bonus Interviews and Unreleased live shows on what must be the definitive collection of Hocico material for their ravenous fans. The DVD not only features a complete recording of the group's show at the M'Era Luna Festival in 2005 ( presented in superior picture and audio quality ) but also a very impressive array of Bonus material : different live recordings across the planet, rare behind-the-scenes snippets and documentaries, TV-performances, short films, the group's live projections, interviews and the rare and sought after animated video clip to "Born to be ( Hated )". Finally the vivid destructive energy of a Hocico live performance can finally be relived within the confines of one's own four walls ! An essential feast for fans and those that wish to become captivated by the electronic madness of the Mexican legends .. because the phenomenon of Hocico can only be fully grasped when experienced live.

Subject: Spetsnaz
Spetsnaz - a name that has become synonymous for Electronic Body Music in its purest incarnation. Swedish Electro / EBM duo Pontus Stålberg and Stefan Nilsson are back ! Armed with increased musical firepower they take the EBM world by storm on Brand New album "Totalitar" - a musical firestorm of stomping hard beats and brutal sequencer loops. Each beat and each note fits tightly in its place, the rhythms lash brutally, the sequencers push mercilessly with all unnecessary ornamentation discarded in favour of melody and rhythm. The scene has been eagerly awaiting a new long player of these saviours of the classic EBM sound now, finally, their call has been heeded and "Totalitär" delivers 13 excellent EBM hits : high class, pure energy aggressive dance music, tunes to sweat to, electronic steam hammers overflowing with emotions and power.

Subject: Rotersand
In June of 2005, Rotersand's "Welcome to Goodbye" had already been named "Electro Album of the Year" by Zillo Magazine, and although there were still over six months of releases, it seems that Zillo was right : by the end of the year, a euphoric press had heaped dozens of "10/10" and "Album of the Month" accolades on the album, which finished at #2 in the year-end DAC Album Charts. "Welcome To Goodbye" saw the group diversifying stylistically, drawing influences from the pop, dance, and indie scenes into their somber lattice of dark electro sounds. These diverse influences are even more apparent on this new remix EP, where songs such as "Would You Buy This" or the title track "Dare To Live" receive the club mix treatment. The results are so infectious that no club DJ could ignore them. Other album tracks, like "Almost Wasted" and "Alive", have been given completely new arrangements highlighting different aspects of the songs. "Dare To Live" also presents TWO Brand New tracks : "Drop Your Education" and "Give It All Away", alongside remixes from Soman and Haujobb / Destroid firmly establishing Rotersand's position in the electro pantheon.

Subject: New Covenant album!!!!!!!!!!
One of THE biggest bands in the Electro scene are back ! Returning with their sixth album, Swedish trio Covenant once again prove their mastery of electronic music. New masterpiece "Skyshaper" develops and evolves their trademark sound - from Kraftwerkian album opener ( and first single ) "Ritual Noise", to the utterly infectious electro-pop of "Brave New World, they cut a swathe through dull, pre-set drudgery delivering an album of intimate melody and glittering, spine-tingling club friendly anthems. Tracks such as guaranteed HIT song "20 Hz" ( recently appearing on the soundtrack for XBox 360 game Project Gotham Racing 3 ) to the melancholy-laden ballad "The World is Growing Loud" and the utterly unique "Spindrift" with its amazing siren chants - "Skyshaper" contains all the ingredients to surpass the success of all previous Covenant albums. The continuing evolution of one of the Electro scenes biggest bands continues to amaze, surprise and inspire - utterly, truly brilliant.

nice to see them back.
isnt it funny in music..as well as any art or media type.
some of the more thought provoking work, creative, good work is often done by artists that are not preoccupied by appealing to the commercial masses.they want to just be creative.
so they dont get on the main stream bandwagon.
so often, the general public doesnt know much about there work.

Subject: 8th December 1980
1980 - Former Beatle John Lennon and his wife, Yoko Ono, arrived at New York's Dakota, the apartment house in which they lived, after an early-evening recording session. As they walked through the apartment gates, a lone gunman stopped and fired five bullets into Lennon, killing him almost instantly. The gunman, a crazed fan named Mark David Chapman, did not attempt to escape and was immediately apprehended. Lennon's untimely death set off a week of worldwide mourning, and the murder was considered to be the most shocking in the history of rock music.

Subject: New order - Singles ( US Version )
This version features one bonus track ( "Temptation" - Secret Machines Remix ) unavailable on any other pressing. The massively influential band New Order formed in Manchester, England, in 1980, rising from the ashes of U.K. post-punk pioneers Joy Division ( after singer Ian Curtis took his own life ). Guitarist Bernard Sumner assumed vocal duties for the new unit, and with drummer Stephen Morris, bassist Peter Hook, and keyboardist Gillian Gilbert, made music history. Successfully fusing new wave, electronica, synth-pop, and club music earlier than many bands now seen as contemporaries, their unique sound was as insightful and soulful as it was perfectly suited for the dance floor. From their earliest singles to their latest hits, this historic double-disc collection offers a career-spanning portrait of one of the most enduring and distinctive bands in modern rock.

''Shadow Of Light / Archive'' contains all Bauhaus promotional videos alongside live performances recorded at the Old Vic Theatre, London in 1982. Originally released on two VHS cassettes, it's a contemporaneous document of the first incarnation of this legendary band who stole the show with their reformed performance at Coachella 2005. When they disbanded in 1983, members Peter Murphy, Daniel Ash, David J, and Kevin Haskins found success both as solo artists and as members of Love And Rockets, Tones On Tail, and Dalis Car. However, there's a certain nights music that only happens when the four become Bauhaus.

Subject: Death in June
Out on the Japanese Label Supernatual Organisation Discs on December 5th is the limited edition release of Death In June's "The Phoenix has Risen". This limited run of 1000 copies is a very obscure one and was first suspected to be a bootleg, but it is not. Named after the scratched message on Death in June’s very first vinyl release "Heaven Street" (1981), this CD comes from the same label that released Current 93’s LP "Earth Covers Earth" back in 1988. Although brand new this new Death In June release bears the year 1999 on the back sleeve. Conceived and put together by Douglas P. himself the CD contains most probably the earliest Death in June recording ever released such as an 8-tracks ‘Rehearsal Tape’ from 1981, with alternative demo-versions of tracks, of which most were later published on the 12” "Heaven Street" and the album "The Guilty have no pride" (1983). Death in June at this early stage were Douglas P., Tony Wakeford and Patrick Leagas. Also included are 8 additional tracks, recorded live at "The Living Room" in London on September 9 1983. The booklet furthermore contains some amazing photos (among others ‘live at The Fridge’) from the very early days of Death in June.
