Subject: no flags in new layout
I miss the flags for language switching in the simple and no fonts layout of the main page. Furthermore there is no link indication on the right side of the screen, e.g. for fellowships. At least that is inconsistent to the menu on the left.
For the castle layout this is ok.
I hope, this will be changed for simple and no fonts layout before the official release of them.

Hieronymus:  How often do you switch languages?

Hieronymus: What do you mean by "no link indication"?

Fencer: The links are underlined in the left and in the main part of the main page, but not in the right.
emmett: Maybe most users never change the language, but for translators it is very important to have the possibility of easy switching them. I think that the simple mode should have the same functionality as the castle.

Hieronymus: Yes, I know. It is correct.

Hieronymus: But having the flags on the top right is such a waste of screen real estate, and is only useful for a handful of people (the translators), and even then I doubt they switch between all of them.

I rather not have items on the top of the page that are either useful to only a very few number of people (the flags), or contain things I already know (for instance, the current date and the time).

AbigailII: It's important the languages can be switched fast. If I copy/paste, I might want the context in english, or I need to know a word in english, or a link to a tournament changes all further pages to an other language.

I like the new stile quite good so far, I'm just used to the row-layout, wich I hope is not too complicate to create.

gogul: Sorry, but I don't from your example that it follows that switching quickly between languages is important for everyone.

I rather have the move button there - that's important functionality for everyone.

AbigailII: With the row-layout the flags would look good there for me :)

gogul: I like the no-flag look.

In my opinion, what is needed at the bottom of the page, is links to each language..... like it is on the bottom of the main sign-in page:

English | čeština | Deutsch | Português | Nederlands | slovenčina | Français | Castellano Español | Svenska | Italiano | Türkçe | 汉语 | Esperanto | Românã | русский | eesti

BIG BAD WOLF: I don't know what the possibilities and the limitations are of customizing the site. Stylesheets (CSS). And the language writen. Someone may google upon it, even they are on the loginpage (check the url), but looks nice too :)

Hieronymus: I don't miss the flags. The main page should be as simple as possible. It should be a "Setting", whether or not to have the language flags on the main page. It should also be a setting to permanently have the main page in "Simple" mode rather than "castle".

emmett: I also don't miss the flags. Plus every time I use the new setup, it remembers that I had it in simple mode - not sure what you are saying about being a permanent setting.

BIG BAD WOLF: Ah, I see. I'm still using the old blue outdated look. When I logged in today, it went into castle mode and I had to change it to simple. I haven't been using the simple look long enough to notice if the login was consistently in "simple". Thanks BBW. I'm sure we'll all have to get used to the new look.
