They're 38. Jason has a point: there are games that are either unrated or didn't have the sufficient number of moves to count towards your rating... Summing all your established BKR's and dividing the sum by 38 gives about the number that shows in that chart as your BKR average. It may be off by a few points because I believe the value is not calculated in runtime, but only from time to time. I don't know about notepad. Always save, save, save. That's a standard rule when using a computer. Save once, twice, often. When in doublt, save your work.
