What ever happened to Faster Fox? Apparently it's not compatible with the Firefox 3.0 version? It did seem to make a bit of a difference...

A question for those smart computer people; my computer shuts down on me after I try to play any game using flash...  any thoughts on why this is happening?  (This is the only reason why it shuts down...  I have narrowed it down to that.)

Thanks,

we will do an 'all clear' which will remove the passwords and then upload the program from our server (and hope its the same as the one which was running, or at least with not too many differences :))

Subject: fx plc (mitsubishi)
we have an fx3 plc (mitsubishi) with a program in it
we want to review the code in the plc with the code on our server
(there is some confusion about the running version) but the fx3 plc is keyword protected

there is a program called keyread which can read the keycode from the plc
http://idownload.ws/Keyread/view.html

but when i try to download the program it only gives me a .zip file with a .doc file telling me that its not available anymore

i am looking for another mirror where the program might still be available, but i cant find any

does anyone know this program and where i can still download it ?
or does anyone maybe have this program ?

Crome doesn't let you use rich text editor (same I find with Safari) the top area is blank, just has 'switch to plain text editor'

hotmail works fine in chrome .. it just gives a warning in which you can click to continue

i am using the old fashioned version of hotmail though, so i am not sure about the new version

facebook has quite some troubles with chrome .. much of the actions in the 'applications' in facebook dont work

one weird thing : when i use my scrollwheel it works fine on some pages (for example the search results of google) but backwards on other sites (like brainking and hotmail) .. when i scroll up my page goes down and vice versa :)

Snoopy: But that shouldn't really be a problem - it's just that Hotmail isn't aware of Chrome and doesn't recognize it, so it expects it to be out of date, while it is brand new.

brings up this
Upgrade your web browser
We recommend that you upgrade your web browser so you can get the most out of Windows Live Hotmail. Upgrading should only take a few minutes. To get started, choose one of the browsers below:
Microsoft Internet Explorer
Mozilla Firefox
Apple Safari
If you don’t want to upgrade right now you can still continue to Windows Live Hotmail, but some parts of it may not work and it may not be displayed properly.

MadMonkey: yea... I'm already back to using FireFox for now (since I don't like to see all the Ads)

Google Chrome will take a little time to get all the bugs worked out... well it is still in "Beta" so that should be expected I guess. (I normally don't try Bata software for that reason.... but I wanted to try this one.)

coan.net: Well, major problem here lol.

On Facebook, when you try to pick up a points disk, it will not

It registers the addy (on the taskbar) so it is seeing it, but when you try to collect it, it does nothing

Well i have to say, i am impressed by its general speed.

For me its faster than I.E. , Safari, and even Firefox, but then i do have over 40 Extensions on my Firefox lol

Brainking is not much different, though other pages i have tried with not as much information on (BugCafe etc...) are much faster.

Facebook, is fast for me on Chrome, so that must be a bonus as Facebook is getting quite popular now.

As wetware it does not appear as versatile as any of the other Main browsers, but i guess that will improve in time.

AND love the Resize Textarea lol

OK, now I've been using it for about 20 minutes, time for a second review.

(some of these might be answered by different settings which I have not seen yet)

When opening new tabs - sometimes it will open at the far right (like Firefox), sometimes it will open just to the right of the open tab (like IE). One or the other would be OK - but not both. (prefer to always open to the far right like Firefox)

Already found one site where the pluggin is not available - http://fallingsandgame.com/sand/sand1.html (of course this will probable work in time)

UGH - wow, a lot of sites have ads that I never use to see.... since I used AdBlocker Plus for Firefox.... again something that will probable come in time to fix.

As for wetware issues - I haven't seen it any slower. I have a couple of my own websites which takes a bit of time to load - and seemed to load about as quickly as firefox does it. I use bookmarks rarely, so that is not an issue for me. (but sure there will be a bookmark plug-in that will appear soon.)

AND GUESS WHAT - I can easily drag and make this input box bigger and smaller with no extra plug-in's installed. COOL!!!!!

Subject: We're on the bleeding edge
At BrainKing, I'm finding it quicker than IE7 (no surprise), but slower than Firefox.

Other notes: 404 error from Chrome's primary "Help" page...not good.

Imported IE7 bookmarks were resorted alphabetically by Chrome--not good; and I haven't found out how to arrange them as I'd like.

OK, I've been using it for about 5 minutes now - time for a review.

It installs very quickly.

All the sites seems to load very quickly.

I tried to go to http://www.dialygammon.com/ - which is of course misspelled - and it gave me a very nice error with the suggestion to the correct place!

I'm only had 5 minutes with it so far.... but so far, I'm impressed.

Subject: pda to rs232
hi,

i need a cable from any pda to rs232

we used to use a hp/compaq ipaq pda with the following cable: http://www.pdashop.nl/product-gallery/11573/0

these pda's arent available anymore though .. so we need to switch ...

the software we use on the pda's (written by me so i could change it a bit) uses com1 (rs232 port)

the current pda's seem to use mini usb ... so i am now looking for a mini usb to rs232 converter .. which i cant find :(

i can find a lot of usb to rs232 converters (which i use in another project without any problems) ... but i couldnt find a pda with plain usb on it yet .. and i am not sure wether the driver for these usb-rs232 converter will work on windows mobile

does anyone have any ideas ?

Why do I occasionally hear thunder from my computer speakers?
I remember reading an article a few years ago that said if you heard different strains of music they meant different things. For example one meant your fan had stopped working. So I was wondering if the thunder meant anything and if so what and if not why is it doing it. It has nothing to do with the weather outside.
