Is the change icon working ?
I asked 2 days ago to have mine changed, but still the same smoking monkey
The one i want back is already stored on brainking, so i used the brainking URL, OR is that the problem ?
Only other thing i can do is right-click, save picture to my pc, then re-submit it as a file, which seems a total waste of time as brainking already has it.

Anyone know ?

Fencer, I am a bit confused (makes a change, i know ).
My Madhouse weekly Tournaments, have done something funny.
I set this weeks as normal, and when i looked back at the Fellowship page i noticed last weeks(week 14) is not on my list on the fellowship page, but was open to everyone.
I cant work it out as i always set them the same way every week & never goto the main Tournament page unless i am setting a whole group of Tournaments (about twice a year).

Week 13
Week 14
Week 15

Is there a little glitch somewhere ?

p.s. Nice to see some different faces in one, if you want to join Madland, just ask

Fencer: I do not know if this is something missing off the new style or not.
If you play a move and 'Stay here' there is normally a link near the top of that page where you can just click and goto the next game.
I have just played a couple of last moves in games and used that option to check it was the game end, but that link is not there in a finished game.
As i say i ca not think if it used to be there on the old screen, if not could we have one please, it very useful

I like the new screens, Simple(like me lol) seems the nicest to me
Thats until i can get my head round these .css things i downloaded

Fencer: I was on my sister new computer yesterday when i asked about messages read/unread. I have to say on mine here they are fine.
Just shows you not everyone(or should i say each screen) sees things the same as they do not know what they are looking at or trying to look for. I will try altering her screen when i am there next, but everything else looked great on it, it should be for the price it cost.

And i still love the simple style

22. March 2007, 16:10:41
MadMonkey
Fencer, the message box in the new styles is not very clear (well on this PC) as too which messages have been read and which not.
Well the No fonts option is not to bad.
Could you make the read messages show in italics or the unread ones more bolder than they are please.

Side note, i like the simple style, i think it clean, tidy & clear

Thank you Fencer, i loved the idea of the context menu and started using it when you first released it, but stopped as i missed not being able to right click for cut/paste which i use a lot.

What a great idea to have it in javascript like the games list in the top left, shocked no one thought of it before lol

Modified by MadMonkey (19. March 2007, 17:51:18)
I posted a bug last November about 'Move and goto next off-line player'.
Its a very useful one to use to get your games down, playing the people who are not here.
Sadly it picks up games of people who are here, but using cloak.
Surely, the idea is not to pick those games up either as they are online.
Now you have closed the bug report saying it is not one, could you please explain to me what it is then
True it does pick games up of people not here, BUT it also picks people up who are here using cloak.
I was one of the people who requested this option and certainly did not expect or want it to do that

pauloaguia: I agree, about the Knights/Bishops and Rooks.
Maybe the prizes should be relevant to level of membership a player has.
Obviously this would not apply to Black Rooks as membership is not relevant to THEM.
I think they should have a prize of another description, still based on Action points though.

Subject: Re: March Action
joshi tm: Thats hardly fair on the people that may need to win a membership, spend all month trying to get it with Action points, then have to win a Tournament as well.....
If a Black Rook wants to do that i am sure they could afford to put up a prize for a Tournament anyway ! After all they could afford to be a Black rook.
Would you rather not like to win a new PC game, or brainking goodies or something useful to yourself.

Modified by MadMonkey (5. March 2007, 15:12:58)
I think that Black Rooks should have a different monthly action to everyone else when it comes to membership being a prize(have PC games or something from brainking store for example).
Black Rooks obviously are here a lot and play many games, thats why they purchased the membership in the first place.
MOST normal players do not really stand a chance of beating them when it comes to Action points for obvious reasons.
All that will happen is it is won, then given as a prize in there own Tournaments or given away, not exactly fair for NON-Black Rooks and pointless for Black Rooks as they dont need it, let them win something else.

In the message we get when a game finishes, i am sure the tournament link (if it was a tournament game) was a link we could hover over to see the tournament table without having to go there.
It does not appear to work any more (well for me), the ones in the games are fine, just them.
Is it meant to work Fencer ?

Subject: Team BKR
How are the Team BKR's worked out ?
It seems it does not have anything to do with individual players in the team and there rating.
So i presume it is done on results for that team in either a Team Tournament (one of Fencers) or a challenge (against another Fellowship, or both ?

Do those results include Fellowship challenge matches or just Tournaments?

A thought (good for a Sunday morning don't you think lol)
As Team Tournaments take so long (well some of them anyway) how about we have more of them starting regularly.
Say maybe start 5 one month, 5 different the following month and so on throughout the year

Fencer: Could you explain how the BKR/Rankings lists on the Fellowship page are worked out please.
Lots of Teams are not even on the list, does it only include results in Team Tournaments you have done well in ?
Also lots of Teams have a BKR, but dont have a ranking, why ?

Thanks

I cant work out what it does. It tell me i have loads of Teams with BKR ranking, but only 5 that have a ranking position LOL and the ones we are the best at Assimilation & Ataxx not even on the list

aahhh just read the Feature board, that answers that.
Still need a (more....) on the 'best rating side'
Is the BKR/rankings just on finished Tournaments though, trying to work it out..........
or the actual Team BKR/standing as the Team is at present ?

How long the Team rankings been on the Fellowship page ?
Very neat Fencer, could of done with a heading though LOL i thought my screens had got confused with each other LOL
Does it just include Team Tournament finished results or just the ratings of them ?
I can get it to show more than 5 Rankings, but not more than 5 on the BKR list side, there isnt a (more....) option there

I suppose i could just go to the next game, then click on the Tournament link, but then i may as well just use stay here.
Sorry, as it works for normal Tournaments, i though it would be easy to get it to pick the Team ones up as well.
