No lie. Back in high school my girlfriend's mom took me to see an old man in the mountains. I had a plague of warts covering both hands...very odd. He rubbed my hands gently, half closed his eyes and mumbled some sort of singing incantation the words of which I could not understand. The next morning I woke up and the warts were gone! I swear this happened.

Yes i have tried the vaseline on warts.I found this out by accident, had 2 warts on my fingers.I use vaseline on my hands cause of the harsh soaps in the hospital.Next thing i noticed is the warts were getting smaller and finally gone.

Subject: Can Anyone Help?
Hi I am hoping someone may have a suggestion which may help my mothers healt. About a year ago she came out in a rash, which the doctors said was excema, it is quite an itchy rash and none of the medication she has been given has helped. She is still itching and losing alot of sleep everynight, they have ruled out all other causes and insist it is excema. Does anyone have any suggestions to what she can take to get rid of the itch, the rash wouldn't bother her so much if she wasn;t scratching? Thanks

My honey broke out in a rash really bad that we thought was excema. It looked more like a giant ring worm to me. We tried everything from changing soap to changing washing powder. He went to countless doctors and was given all kinds of medications. Finally he was put on paxil for a while for nerves. It has since cleared. It reoccurs evey now and then but is controlled with cremes like lamisil. It's a very slight rash now and not much itching. She would have to talk with a doctor of course.

Thanks for that, I have taken a note of that and will give it to her, she has also tried changing everything, even bought a new bed and mattress and a new sofa incase it was dust or something, but to no avail, it is just really wearing her down now and it has cost her a fortune at herbal doctors too. Heres hoping she can get this med and it helps:) Thanks once again.

You're very welcome I sure hope it helps. Yock was given a tub of something, I forget the name of it now. It was $60 a tube and did nothing. He's a big fellow and it took a lot. LOL
We didn't go as for as buying new bedding but I did make sure they were changed everyday. Nothing for us seemed to help but the paxil.
The more he itched, the more he worried about it and it got worse. He started swelling real bad. Like big welps all over. He wasn't on paxil long about a month I would say. It worked. I think it was about $70 per presciption. Well worth it. Benedryl is also good for itching but will make you sleepy.

Try Ca-Rezz cream.

You can buy it on-line...or if you can't wait, go to local drug store.

It is my end-all for getting my wierd rash under controll. It sooths within seconds, and with regular use, the rash stays away.

Aloe vera is great for itching and rashes too. I have eczema and my son has it so bad, when he was a baby I had to bandage him up because of it. He's not quite as bad now. My nan told me about Aloe vera and it really does help. You can get it as a bar of soap now and shampoo and all kinds :o)

A cousin of mine read in our local paper that Lestoil is great for itching. Now i never tried it but she did and the itching stopped and her rash is gone.I wouldn't use it on a child.

Ring Worm ....
Buy a small bottle of iodine and paint all around the area, the iodine does the trick.

Thank you all so much for the advice for my mum, I have printed these off for her - she has another appointment at the doctors on Thursday so will ask about some of these, others such as aloe vera etc she will try as well. I will keep you updated on how she is, hopefully some of your advice will help her, my dad is getting sick of sleeping in the spare room LOL :)

Has your Mum started using any new products? ie miosturiser, soap, washing powder etc or has she been eating or drinking something different? or been around animals? all these things can also cause rashes & are worth looking into as a process of elimination
If it is eczema dairy products can also play a large part in flaring it up.....so it may be worth while on cutting down on dairy for a while
Hope she gets it sorted out soon

Hiya, thanks for all your advice on treatments for my mum. Since I last wrote she has came out in Shingles and has been in alot of pain, the rash however has cleared - I wonder if that had anything to do with it. She is on painkillers and a course of antibiotics which need to be taken within 72 hours of the shingles coming out, I am hoping once this all clears up then she may be back to her usual happy self:))

The usual medical treatment for Shingles is Elavil and Vicodin. The pain lasts longer than the rash and, depending on the persons age, can take up to 8 weeks to end. Once it passes you can never catch it again. Medical advice courtesy of my first wife...sue her. LOL.

Shingles is also a form of Chicken Pox.

You can have shingles more than once....Ive had it twice!!!
Once youve had chickenpox the virus lays dorment in the base of your spine & a variety of factors can flare it up, i.e stress or being in contact with someone with chickenpox...and then you have shingles! It can be very painful & it is particularly dangerous if you get it near your eyes! Also once youve had medication for it once, theres nothing that can be taken for repeated attacks

Ever wonder why your eyelashes don't get longer?
They break off due to know oil glands.Try putting Vaseline or olive oil on them every night you'll be amazed in a few weeks.Don't use Mineral Oil.

Hi I knew about it for makeup remover, I've done that. Never heard of it making your lashes longer though. I'm starting tonight. I'll let you know.
I also use vaseline for my lips at night if they get chapped.

Linda what the vaseline does is, it keeps them from breaking off. Also a great wart remover it smothers them.
