Gammonator: When something like this happens, I always check host-tracker to make sure it is just a local problem, not a BrainKing one. Right now, the average response time (according to that site) is 0.61 seconds and only 2 places show a little higher latency - Thailand and Iran.

In other words, something is wrong on your side. It can be anything - DNS issues, proxy server caching problem, routing problem etc.

Can you post a traceroute output here? Open a command line in Windows and type "tracert brainking.com".

Subject: Firefox 3 Beta 5
Well, I've been trying to use BrainKing with the latest Firefox 3 (Beta 5) for more than 3 hours but nothing "bouncing" ever happened to me. Am I doing something wrong?
Anyway, I've just posted a short article about it to BrainKing.info, so if someone wants to continue in this discussion, it is possible to do it at the blog site as well. At least I would know what to prepare to.

I have been asked to test the new BrainKing design on Safari too. However, as far as I know, it is a Mac OS browser only. Is there a way how to get a Windows compatible version?

MadMonkey: No, those are CSS errors, it has nothing to do with JavaScript. Try to look for something like http://brainking.com/js/rte-12.js etc. (ends with .js)

Subject: Re: Screen/PC Freezing
TeamBundy: My notebook has 512 MB RAM too and it's hardly enough these times. With all patches from the Windows Update server I guess the RAM is more and more occupied by the system components and the freezes caused by the swapping process happen more often.
That's why I want to purchase a new notebook with 2 GB RAM as soon as possible.

WatfordFC: If there is a JavaScript error you described on the BK.com board, it's possible that your browser is using an old version of the JavaScript code from its cache (although it is highly improbable with Firefox). Try to clear the cache and load the page again with ctrl-f5.
Also, please make sure your pages are using the correct versions of JavaScripts by looking at the page source - functions-6.js, rte-12.js, rtecodes-6.js.

Nothingness: It doesn't work when you use the RTE editor (alhough it should, there is a small bug). Switch to a normal plain text editor and all links will be clickable.

It's interesting to see in our logs and stats that some people still use MS Internet Explorer 3.0, Firefox 0.1 or Netscape 3.0 to access BrainKing. I wonder if they ever heard about a security.
