baudrillard: What happens to people who are banned from this site. Are they simply refused entry to their account but it sits there with their personal information in it? Does it show they have been banned from the site?

Fencer is required by law (under the Czech Republich Personal Data Protection Act of April 4, 2000) to provide a method to delete the account. If a database holds personal information including published words (anything written in public on a site like this is recognised as 'published') they may only hold that information with the consent of the author. I have withdrawn my consent. Therefore, my account must be deleted. This is pretty standard in International laws regarding Data Protection.

I've been trying to delete my account but there does not appear to be a way to do so. It is a legal requirement of a database operator to provide removal on request. A delete button feature should be added to this site immediately.

Fencer: after you finish setting up the 'cloak mode' discussion group (LOL) is there anyway that the fellowships could have a short description of their 'themes' next to them?
Keep up the good work! definitely the best game site in the world!!!!!!!
Cheers
Alison
PS let me know if you are coming to London so can arrange some good old British hospitality!

Andersp: Your argument is fundamentally flawed. The cloak mode is not going to tell you any such thing (whether or not your opponent is going to leave). Many people are on broadband (or unlimited dial up connections like myself) and stay signed into BrainKing for hours. It doesn't mean they are playing. I often go out of the house and leave the computer running. This this makes the case for using Cloak mode even stronger.

Anyway, I still can't see any difference in cloak mode. I can still see when people are on line and when they last logged in so why can't you?

Sorry, but I think that is nonsense! If people were here just to play games there would be no discussion boards and no fellowships and no community! Sure, lots of people just want to play games, but I see a much bigger, global picture here. And 'bravo' to the guys who run it! They should be paid good money!

Fencer - great that the new layouts are for paying members. The only concern I would have is that when people come here to try the site out, they may not realise how good it is when they become a paying member. I wonder if there is anyway to give them say three days free trial in paying member mode? I don't want you to lose out on potential business! we need you to be succesful!

Subject: Re: - disabled when you are cloaked -
I don't get it ... I am 'cloaked' but can still see what everyone else is doing. I don't particularly want to know, however, and am happy not to be able to see. Very fair indeed!

I don't agree that free members should have these facilities. I think it is extremely important that those people who work so hard to make this site work should get paid to do so. Bravo to them!

Cloak mode is a feature and it is important that it is recognised for what it is instead of people (who have never experienced a threat ibn cyber) attacking others for using it. I would like to request that we have an INVISIBLE mode added to the site.

I'd like to throw my two cents in here.

What I do like about this site is that many people are not hiding behind the usual cybermask and that people are creating communities within a community that appears to embrace every nationality.

However, as a woman who has decided to expose her true identity ... it does make me feel very vulnerable.

The cloak idea is just a tiny way of saying 'actually, I don't want everyone to know what I am doing here and I am entitled to some 'privacy'... it's ok for me to go to the bathroom without checking with everyone! It's of little use, of course, because I have already totally exposed myself. However, I have had one unwanted 'come on' here already and that makes me feel uncomfortable and a little nervous about it. I guess that may be difficult for many men to come to terms with?

So I am with AbigailIII on this one.

Just my two cents worth!

Subject: Glitches
Hello folks! I'm not sure who to ask, but I may be having some glitches with my javascript and wondered if anyone could advise? Sometimes, when I hit the move button, it goes to the HTML coding page instead! Also, the board tends to dive from one side of the screen to the other (LOL) .... bit like ping pong, but you don't have that (yet) do you? I'm sure it is something I need to adjust on my computer so thanks in advance.
Cheers!

Does it exist here? I can't find any games with the doubling dice.
Cheers!
