ScarletRose: The ATTS (American Temperament Test Society) has standard tests that they give the dogs. The American Pit bull terrier came in with an 84.1% passing rate. The American Staffordshire terrier came in with an 83.9% passing rate. Those are not bad figures when you consider that so called "family dogs" such as the collie passed with a 79.2%, that cute little Chihuahua passed with only a 71.4%, and Americas favorite family breed, the Golden Retriever passed with an 83.8%.

I don't believe that a pitbul has ever had the number one ranking as the most "vicious" dog.
When I owned my dalmatian,they were ranked higher then the pit as far as biting goes
