Subject: Poker bugs?
JPS posted on the portuguese board about having lost with a flush to a pair last night
BrainKing.pt (JPS, 2009-03-05 23:23:49) (I don't know the details of when exactly, you can ask him if you need any).

Since the announcement was made that all bugs were corrected and the official version will be released next week, I'm asking if those bugs should have occurred or will only be corrected next week?

pauloaguia: I don't see any useful details at that post, so it is really hard to investigate, but I am sure that flushes were tested many times and there is no problem with it. Perhaps JPS could add more information (table ID, round number etc.) next time, instead of loads of questions marks.

Fencer: I forwarded your request, but I wasn't asking for a fix (yet).
I was trying to determine if the version currently available is supposed to be free from most of those bugs or if that version will only be made online next week and it's possible to find some bugs now that are already corrected for that version...

And I only posted it on a public board because I'm sure other people are interested in the answer to this question too...

pauloaguia: I see. Yes, the current version is supposed to be free from most bugs. But, of course, it is possible to find new bugs even after the official release. However, I am sure that the algorithm to determine the winner is correct and bug free.

Czuch: Yes, he said the table was no limit 500, 5/10 and it happened sometime between 21:00 and 21:30 (22:00 - 22:30, server time)

pauloaguia: Such table does not exist. An URL would be better.

pauloaguia: Well, I have sometime found that some people do not understand how the payouts of a hand are worked in no limit tables, especially after an all in.

I have seen people think they have lost because it said someone else with a lessor hand had won more money than they did... but the reality is that they had simply bet a lot less than this other person, and even though the other person lost, they still appeared to have won more than the person who did win, but the reality is they had just won a lot of their won money back..... it is not possible to win more than you start a hand with, times the number of people who call.

In simple terms... if you have $5 and I have $100, and we both go all in and you win, it will show you to have won $10 and me to have won $95, thats like ley what happened...

Czuch: Right, that could be it. I think that I will add a new entry to FAQ page.
