Which player enters next stage? but when there is a tie, only one goes to the next round. So which one? Is it the one who plays white or the one who offers a draw? 17. July 2023, 16:19:04)  Algis9: first, the total of all opponents points that were beat is added up, and the higher number wins (the concept is that you won against the stronger opponents). If this is not an option, or is equal too, the player with the lower rating wins (for him it is considered a greater achievement to hold a draw). It doesn't matter who offered the draw. As ratings are internally floating numbers, there are basically never equal. |
