Justaminute:
At least one person has bought a black rook membership this month. I think all black rook and black knight memberships(active and inactive if possible) should be converted to white rook and knight memberships and they be given a pro-rated refund based on the start date of their black memberships(if active)(and on length of their membership if inactive and they can be contacted of course. At least they should all be contacted (including inactives if possible) and given the refund option. On the other hand no definition of lifetime and or guarantee of time has ever been given (as far as I know)

I totally disagree with this "moralist" opinions.

I like the site, and would like it to be improved. I have some suggestions I can send in private to Fencer. I think the site is dying and this "hurts " the expectations of those who like the site and are playing here for years. Paying members have more reasons because with that payment They showed a biggest link to BK. BUT... And this BUT is very important... Fencer has total legitimacy to do that! No one has a so strong right to decide that Fencer must spending his time developing BK instead other projects he might have. And more, he is keeping a fair position as he is available to sell the site.
I am unhappy with this dicrease of the site, but can not acuse Fencer of anything.
This is not a question of "good people" vs "bad people", it's a balance between personal legitim interests.
Cheers

I do not expect too much from this site and I think this is the best games site to play games in. I do hope that Fencer will continue to run this site in any way possible. I think he should stop non paying member using the discussion boards and then there might be less moaning going on. In my opinion there is nothing wrong with this site now.

Patience.
Sometimes, more important things show up and must be addressed with higher priority.

Brian1971: Not a big issue but I just don't understand how is a paid membership related to a "respect" to customers. You know exactly what you pay (or paid) for, it's clearly specified at the respective page. If you don't like it, well, there are many other game sites to choose from.

OK guys, a very short version - I don't intent to develop this site any further, unless the ownership is passed to another person with all rights and responsibilities. If someone is seriously interested in that, I'll be glad to discuss details in private.

I havn't paid a dime and I love the site. For the paying members at a dime a day.....??? .....as for fencer I would just delete the board altogether as pat chu did a decade ago. No game site has a format to complain like we do here. Fencer needs to stop forcing everyone to pay

As others said, if you can't just not visit, then change the password to something forgettable, and then you shouldn't be able to get back on.

moistfinger: yes it can be addictive but i cant see how a turnbased site where you can play only 20 games at a time can be a serious problem.unless you spend hours on the site waiting for others to move. I can waste far more time playing one real time game than i do on brainking and turn base allows a quick in and out unlike real time. At least no money is involved here unlike some gambling sites so it is only time that is wasted.

And you are only playing three games anyway.

My advice: Meditate on your weaknesses. Either strengthen your resolve and eliminate them or learn to live with them without accusing others for them.

Cheers!

Playing online games is extremely addictive. I want to give up playing here but the fact I can't close my account prevents me from making a clean break and I keep coming back for more games. Why are we not allowed to actually delete our Brainking account?

crosseyed: Indeed. Trump may have read The Col's comment and he is now trying to get Fencer's certificate ready in order to get him to be his VP.

I can only imagine the amount of non-stop work this would require that Fencer would be absolutely unable to find 5 minutes to post an announcement he, himself, said he would 6 days ago.

A totally justified reason to absolutely ignore a bunch of people waiting to see the owner's thoughts on the future of their favorite gaming site.
