Subject: Re: can people buy vacation days ?
Bry: Yes, it's a bonus of buying an extra year of membership. In all cases, the number of vacation days left will be 30 as of 1st January.

Subject: Re: can people buy vacation days ?
Pedro Martínez: No, the number of vacation days never exceeds the max value. It will be reset on 1st January anyway.

Subject: Re: can people buy vacation days ?
Jason: Well, it wasn't officially announced yet but if you extend your membership by another year, the vacation counter would be reset to the original value (30 for Brain Rooks, etc.) instead of waiting for the 1st January.

Subject: Re:
rabbitoid: The increment is added only if you are below the limit and the final value cannot exceed the limit. For example, if you have 14 days and 18 hours left and make a move, it won't add a whole day but only 6 hours [to reach the limit of 15 days].

20. August 2005, 09:24:01
Fencer
Subject: Re:
rabbitoid: Then it's correct. You cannot have more than 15 days as a time left, that's the defined limit value.

Btw, there is also a small printer icon at the bottom of each page. Clicking on it will create a "printer friendly" version of the page with removed navigation columns. Then you can use the link "back" on the page top to return to a normal mode.

Of course, replace the "cz" by the language code you use.
It seems to be working fine with Mozilla Thunderbird but I didn't test it with other RSS readers.

mrloupcity: You must be joking. It's not wise to make ridiculous statements about "changing rules" only because you didn't pay enough attention to the particular tournament time control before.
Moreover, it's really not funny anymore to write about "people are leaving". Everybody with a basic knowledge of the internet and its way of working knows that there is no site where people would stay forever. It's normal, it's nothing unexpected and I really don't force anyone to stay here if he feels uncomfortable.

I agree there are some peak moments and performance issues but it's just a normal consequence of any significant system change. Of course, the source has been already detected and the improvement is being developed but it cannot be done immediately.
