Actually, in this respect, it was a way better movie that the original one. I didn't have a feeling that the aliens were specifically after Cruise. There were mentioned alien attacks in Japan, and in other places around the globe. The thing is that the film was following Cruise's journey from NY to Boston. But this doesn't mean the aliens were there to kill specifically him. Alexander sucks. BTW, what's your favorite part of the movie?
