May I also suggest that game time be suspended for that weekend and maybe 2 or 3 days thereafter to compensate for any problems players may experience like they did in the first attempt to make the switch.

Is this going to happen this weekend? What time will the changeover begin? (GMT)

I was wondering since I use webtv and If I begin to have problems, I will know why and stay away for a few days till things work themselves out.

Subject: Removal of Pawns from Fellowship
The only thing I worry about is if a paid member is late to renew their membership lets say even just 1 day) - then if their account is removed from all the fellowships that they were in, they would have to go through the trouble of trying to get back into them all.

Not a big deal if you are in one or two fellowships......

Of course once a few weeks pass by, then that would be a good time to remove pawns. Maybe a script that can be ran every month or so to scan and remove pawns from fellowships would be good?

good idea but i need the shoes now :)

I got an idea Anders

Do a sponsor thingy to raise money for shoes.
Then use some of the money to renew and pocket the rest

24. June 2004, 14:59:27

depends on how they feel about bare feet ;o)

24. June 2004, 14:56:06

The rest?..shouldnt they buy shoes too? :)

If you see my name in any fellowship after June 27 (when my membership expires) please inform Fencer so i can be removed. I dont want anyone to be jealous.

MM: Yes, when a membership expires, the process should handle all related actions. If I don't forget to add it to the code, of course :-)

BerniceC, In my experience I've found that paying members who, for circumstances beyond their control, cannot afford to renew have made so many good friends in their time here that people are very willing to help out.

Subject: MadMonkey
that is a very good point :) and it maybe a bit too far advanced for the current management to handle :)
the "LETS RAISE MONEY FOR FENCER" thing which will go for at least 200years :) (jk) will show that them paying members who have paid and cant afford to do it again will lose out...another rip-off....get your money back :)

Fencer: I have just had a PM from a pawn about how they get into a fellowship (in fact i had another a while ago). I have explained that they can not, and the only reason they are there is they are ex paying members who's membership has expired.
Will BK 2.0 remove these pawn accounts from fellowships or will the Boses have to do it themselves ?
It is a good point as the person pointed out, it does seem to anyone new looking at fellowships that pawns certain pawns are allowed in fellowships.

Jason: In order to make your password secure, it is never e-mailed or shown to you [and nobody else]. Not even I know your password because all passwords are encrypted in the database and the encryption is asynchronous, it means that it's not possible to decrypt it.
When you request a password change [on Login Page], you'll be provided a URL containing a secret code. The URL points to a page which is temporarily created for you only and you can set a new password there. The secret code is always different and unique.

no.. it didnt send my old password.. i had to put my old password in and my new one in..
I did neither...

So I wonder who has tried to do that???
Obviously they cannot get into my account then :)

23. June 2004, 13:07:13

chattytea: It means that somebody used your e-mail address with the "forgot password" form on Login Page. But it causes no harm, the secret code is mailed to you only and until you use it, your password remains unchanged.

Subject: it appears that:)
Fencer is also selective as to whom he speaks to and/or answers personal messages/emails.

I can understand he is a busy man at the moment, but then so am I

Im not just a game player, im a PAYER
I have paid for my membership unlike alot of pawns :)

I asked FENCER last night did he get my PM....no answer so IM posting it here.....sorry BossMan :) but your paying customers need respect not rejection :(

OK....now to the reason I post this.....

A couple days ago i was pissed at the only person i can be pissed at LONGJOHN.
I changed my use name to Bernice FTW...which meant F---The World....

Longjohn had accused Rose and myself of email crap...
I was angry....
I changed my name to the above BerniceFTW...
I reeived this message from a member here that proves LJ aka "Ihave a Bi-Polar" problem has used my name for his little crappie take downs......now either Fencer will fix these things or ....welll OR....what can i say....
here is a copy of the message send to Fencer last night asking for help to get my name back....i have been ignored but from what I can see so have a lot of others....
I understand you are busy....but a "it is being looked at" would help.....

Hiya Bernice, i was going to write the other night but then got busy and forgot and i dont know if it has anything to do with anything. The other night i was browsing the touraments and seen longjohns one on there. then a little while later i went back and was eading through them again and his tourny had switched and it said bernice as the creator, then it switched back to longjohn. Was weird i know that much

During the webtv problems a game came on and all my opponents pieces were not shown on the board. I moved anyway and found out LATER I moved in the way of a triple jump. No use crying, I should have been more careful.

22. June 2004, 17:31:25
MadMonkey
I presume that is what they are say IMCK. Normally, Fencer will reinstate a game if asked (but both players should agree) and this nomally only when there has been a site problem, webTV (like recently) or even a personal one.
Whatever the reason, it should be agreed by both players.

Are you two saying that people have timed out on your games and then have had them reenstated?

22. June 2004, 17:00:51
Maxxina
Yes , it happens sometimes to me too. Someone have 14 days to move and 5 hours after deadlimit game reapper . Sorry but its your business to find few minutes to play this game . And if you dont have so much time . Dont start so many hundreds games .

Sometimes I win some games on time and two weeks later these game are reappearing on my screen again!
No kidding,I have nothing against a continuation of broken games, but I want be asked, please no restoring automatically!
The continuation should be possible by agreement of b o t h players, but not only by the wishes of one player only, please!Otherwise all timecontrols are useless!
