Inside this cave lies the largest non-subglacial underground lake in the world, with an area of almost 2 hectares(4.9 acres).The lake is located around 100 metres(330 ft) below the surface.Its depth is unknown, though exploration to date suggests it is at least 100 m.The underground lake is inhabited by one of the world's rarest fish species,Clarias cavernicola,also known as the golden cave catfish.
