Tuesday: I have seen that the females are far more affectionate then the males,BUT very goofy at times(think of how human females get moody)..males are more serious, altho just as fun!! Damien will let me snuggle him for about 5 seconds then is like,ok,Mom,seriously.....Miss Nik sits on me for hugs, lol. It all boils down to what each person prefers...I honestly prefer the male...and will never have anything but my GSD's

Artful Dodger: I think any breed can be "child friendly" IF raised around kids...also depends on what you are looking for,big or small, male or female. What kind of kids?? small children that are hyper and running around?? Your local shelter will be more then happy,I am sure to help guide you towards a dog that is suited for your needs and wants. If you want a purebred but can't find one through the local shelter, try to google a breed specific shelter....TONS out there...good luck!!

Is there a "child friendly" dog breed?   And are "mutts" better than pure breds?

Jim Dandy: I am totally against wearing fur. However, you are right, this is nothing but ASSAULT, and that person should have been arrested.

PARIS (AP) — U.S. actress Lindsay Lohan has been pelted with a flour bomb on arrival at a Paris nightclub wearing a fur stole.

Animal rights activists showered the 22-year-old actress with flour when she went to the VIP Room Theater in the early hours of Saturday with her friend, disc jockey Samantha Ronson.

The owner of the nightclub helped Lohan dust off her blue sequined dress and black stole before she posed on the red carpet. Ronson went on to spin tracks for a crowd that included reggae rapper Shaggy and "I Kissed a Girl" singer Katy Perry.

a name for my future dog(if I ever actually get one)
OLD YELLER,now should it actually be simply "YELLER" until he reaches his golden years?
or can I go with OLD YELLER from a pup,and still avoid any misunderstandings and countless hours of explanations?

I'd appreciate any input

ok,now in all seriousness,if you look at this dogs body language, you can CLEARLY see that he is tense and not comfortable with the situation...then the reporter reaches over top of him (a dominate posture in a dogs eyes) so the dog reacts as alot of dogs would...dogs can't SAY..hey,bud,go away..BUT he was trying to tell him by his body language.....if only the guy was more observant, lol

anastasia: I'm not entirely sure that animals don't get a thrill out of abusing other animals, how do we know?

Now that doesn't validate the sickening abuses that have been brought to light over the years by folks like PETA,but I'm not so closed minded as to think animals are not capable of similar thoughts and behavior, who can say for certain?

Jim Dandy: I was referring to,like the idiot at the pig farm abusing the pigs....oh trust me...my Miss Nik abuses the heck out of Damien BUT she doesn't beat him, shove things up his anus, make him scream in pain and then laugh to a fellow dog friend about it saying that ya gotta make em scream

anastasia: How do you know animals
" don't abuse each other and joke about it before hand"

I'm pretty sure both of my cats get into : mischievous moods and try and get under the other one's skin from time to time, though they have never verbally stated it to me,or anyone else to my knowledge.

Humans are humans, and animals are animals,it's all perspective. Why does the Preying Mantis get a free pass for this carnage?
