Subject: I Am the Walrus
I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together.
See how they run like pigs from a gun, see how they fly.
I’m crying.

Sitting on a cornflake, waiting for the van to come.
Corporation tee-shirt, stupid bloody tuesday.
Man, you been a naughty boy, you let your face grow long.
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen.
I am the walrus, goo goo g’joob.

Mister city policeman sitting
Pretty little policemen in a row.
See how they fly like lucy in the sky, see how they run.
I’m crying, I’m crying.
I’m crying, I’m crying.

Yellow matter custard, dripping from a dead dog’s eye.
Crabalocker fishwife, pornographic priestess,
Boy, you been a naughty girl you let your knickers down.
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen.
I am the walrus, goo goo g’joob.

Sitting in an english garden waiting for the sun.
If the sun don’t come, you get a tan
From standing in the english rain.
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen.
I am the walrus, goo goo g’joob g’goo goo g’joob.

Expert textpert choking smokers,
Don’t you thing the joker laughs at you?
See how they smile like pigs in a sty,
See how they snied.
I’m crying.

Semolina pilchard, climbing up the eiffel tower.
Elementary penguin singing hari krishna.
Man, you should have seen them kicking edgar allan poe.
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen.
I am the walrus, goo goo g’joob g’goo goo g’joob.
Goo goo g’joob g’goo goo g’joob g’goo.

Subject: Woman is the Nigger of the World
Woman is the nigger of the world
Yes she is...think about it
Woman is the nigger of the world
Think about it...do something about it

We make her paint her face and dance
If she won't be a slave, we say that she don't love us
If she's real, we say she's trying to be a man
While putting her down, we pretend that she's above us

Woman is the nigger of the world...yes she is
If you don't believe me, take a look at the one you're with
Woman is the slave of the slaves
Ah, yeah...better scream about it

We make her bear and raise our children
And then we leave her flat for being a fat old mother hen
We tell her home is the only place she should be
Then we complain that she's too unworldly to be our friend

Woman is the nigger of the world...yes she is
If you don't believe me, take a look at the one you're with
Woman is the slave to the slaves
Yeah...alright...hit it!

We insult her every day on TV
And wonder why she has no guts or confidence
When she's young we kill her will to be free
While telling her not to be so smart we put her down for being so dumb

Woman is the nigger of the world
Yes she is...if you don't believe me, take a look at the one you're with
Woman is the slave to the slaves
Yes she is...if you believe me, you better scream about it

We make her paint her face and dance
We make her paint her face and dance
We make her paint her face and dance
We make her paint her face and dance
We make her paint her face and dance
We make her paint her face and dance

Subject: AND I LOVE HER
I give her all my love
That's all I do
And if you saw my love
You'd love her too
I love her

She gives me ev'rything
And tenderly
The kiss my lover brings
She brings to me
And I love her

A love like ours
Could never die
As long as I
Have you near me

Bright are the stars that shine
Dark is the sky
I know this love of mine
Will never die
And I love her

Bright are the stars that shine
Dark is the sky
I know this love of mine
Will never die
And I love her

Subject: Never My Love
Never My Love

You ask me if there'll come a time
when I grow tired of you;
never my love, never my love.

You wonder if this heart of mine
will lose its desire for you;
never my love,
never my love.

What makes you think love will end
when you know that my whole life
depends on you?

You say you fear I'll change my mind
I won't require you,
Never my love,
never my love.

How can you think love will end
when I've asked you to spend your
whole life with me?

Melinda was mine
’til the time
That I found her
Holding jim
Loving him

Then sue came along
Loved me strong
That’s what I thought
Me and sue
But that died too

Don’t know that I will
But until I can find me
A girl who’ll stay
And won’t play games behind me
I’ll be what I am
A solitary man
Solitary man

I’ve had it to here
Bein’ where
Love’s a small world
Part-time thing
Paper ring

I know it’s been done
Having’ one
Girl who’ll love me
Right or wrong
Weak or strong

Don’t know that I will
But until I can find me
The girl who’ll stay
And won’t play games behind me
I’ll be what I am
A solitary man
Solitary man

Subject: Thank You
Here's another great one:

THANK YOU

If the sun refused to shine,
I would still be loving you.
When mountains crumble to the sea,
There will still be you and me.

Kind woman, I give you my all,
Kind woman, nothing more.

Little drops of rain whisper of the pain,
Tears of loves lost in the days gone by.
My love is strong, with you there is no wrong,
Together we shall go until we die.

My, my, my, an inspiration is what you are to me,
Inspiration, look see.

And so today, my world it smiles,
Your hand in mine, we walk the miles,
Thanks to you it will be done,
For you to me are the only one.
Happiness, no more be sad,
Happiness....i’m glad.

If the sun refused to shine,
I would still be loving you.
When mountains crumble to the sea,
There will still be you and me.

Lyin', cheatin', hurtin, that's all you seem to do.
Messin' around with every guy in town,
Puttin' me down for thinkin' of someone new.
Always the same, playin' your game,
Drive me insane, trouble is gonna come to you,
One of these days and it won't be long,
You'll look for me but baby, I'll be gone.
This is all I gotta say to you woman:

Your Time Is Gonna Come
Your Time Is Gonna Come
Your Time Is Gonna Come
Your Time Is Gonna Come

Made up my mind to break you this time,
Won't be so fine, it's my turn to cry.
Do want you want, I won't take the brunt.
It's fadin' away, can't feel you anymore.
Don't care what you say 'cause I'm goin' away to stay,
Gonna make you pay for that great big hole in my heart.
People talkin' all around,
Watch out woman, no longer
Is the joke gonna be on my heart.
You been bad to me woman,
But it's coming back home to you.

Your Time Is Gonna Come
Your Time Is Gonna Come
Your Time Is Gonna Come
Your Time Is Gonna Come

Subject: When You're a Free Man
Time... quickly passes by
If only we could talk again
Someday I know I’ll see you smiling
When you’re a free man again

High... on a mountain side
We laughed and talked of things to come
Someway I know I’ll see you shining
When we’re all free men again

You left your country for peace of mind
And something tells me you’re doin’ alright
How are the children and rosemarie
I long to see you
And be in your company

Someday I know I’ll see you smiling
When you’re a free man again
I often wonder why
Our world has gone so far astray
Someway I know I’ll see you shining
When we’re all free men again

You gave love freely to those with tears
Your eyes were sad then you saw the need
You know that love lasts for eternity
Let’s be god’s children
And live in perfect peace
Peace perfect peace
Perfect peace
Peace
Someway I know I’ll see you shining
When you’re a free man
When we’re all free men again

When you’re a free man

I'll take a look, thanks! I agree with you about our musical tastes. First Lennon & now Pindar. Perhaps it's more than the music itself but the view of life that we appreciate and identify with. If you're a fan of William Blake too, that seals it. LOL :o)

Wow, didn't know he did solo stuff after his departure from the Moody Blues. Here's my favorite Pindar song with the group:

MELANCHOLY MAN

I’m a melancholy man, that’s what I am,
All the world surrounds me, and my feet are on the ground.
I’m a very lonely man, doing what I can,
All the world astounds me and I think I understand
That we’re going to keep growing, wait and see.

When all the stars are falling down
Into the sea and on the ground,
And angry voices carry on the wind,
A beam of light will fill your head
And you’ll remember what’s been said
By all the good men this world’s ever known.
Another man is what you’ll see,
Who looks like you and looks like me,
And yet somehow he will not feel the same,
His life caught up in misery, he doesn’t think like you and me,
’cause he can’t see what you and I can see.

Subject: Intuition
(John Lennon)

My intentions are good, I use my intuition
It takes me for a ride
But I never understood other people's superstitions
It seemed like suicide
As I play the game of life
I try to make it better each and every day
And when I struggle in the night
The magic of the music seems to light the way

Ah, Intuition takes me there
Intuition takes me everywhere

Well my instincts are fine
I had to learn to use them in order to survive
And time after time confirmed an old suspicion
It's good to be alive
And when I'm deep down and out and lose communication
With nothing left to say
It's then I realize it's only a condition
Of seeing things that way

Ah, Intuition takes me there
Intuition takes me anywhere
(Takes me anywhere, alright)

Ah, Intuition takes me there
Intuition takes me there
Intuition takes me there
Intuition takes me there
Intuition takes me there
Intuition takes me there

Subject: She's Always A Woman
She can kill with a smile

She can wound with her eyes

She can ruin your faith with her casual lies

And she only reveals what she wants you to see

She hides like a child

But she's always a woman to me

She can lead you to love

She can take your or leave you

She can ask for the truth

But she'll never believe you

And she'll take what you give her as long as it's free

She steals like a thief

But she's always a woman to me

Oh--she takes care of herself

She can wait if she wants

She's ahead of her time

Oh--and she never gives out

And she never gives in

She just changes her mind

She will promise you more

Than the Garden of Eden

Then she'll carelessly cut you

And laugh while you're bleedin'

But she'll bring out the best

And the worst you can be

Blame it all on yourself

Cause she's always a woman to me

Oh--she takes care of herself

She can wait if she wants

She's ahead of her time

Oh--and she never gives out

And she never gives in

She just changes her mind

She is frequently kind

And she's suddenly cruel

She can do as she pleases

She's nobody's fool

But she can't be convicted

She's earned her degree

And the most she will do

Is throw shadows at you

But she's always a woman to me

I agree and I think MTV & its daughters played a big part in the destruction of creativity. Here is my personal Ode to the Execs in a song I wrote a few years ago to express just that.

MUSIC IN THE VIDEO AGE

I’m so good-lookin’
And I got fine clothes
And that’s all it takes
I think that everybody knows
I got my dance moves down
I got my make-up on
With that combination
I can’t go wrong

I hear the teenage boys shouting for more
And soon they’re gonna be knockin’ down my door
And for the teenage girls I gotta big surprise
‘Cause I can smell their lust right between their thighs

Well I got no talent
But I got plenty of skill
And I don’t need feelings
When I can swallow a pill
And I got no soul
But I got big thighs
Just watch my video
You’ll be hypnotized

I hear the business man begging for more
And for a little more gold he’d call his mother a whore
And I see all the mommas actin’ surprised
But I can’t see nothin’ when I look in their eyes

The music is dead, but who’s to blame?
We’ve all the sold out, it’s all the same
The battle is lost, the deal is done
But don’t count the cost, ‘cause you’re having fun

Well I got a slick image
I got photo appeal
And noboby’s askin’
If I’m really for real
And if my words are shallow
It don’t matter one bit
‘Cause I can still make money
When it sounds like shit

Well I’m struttin’ my stuff on the big T.V.
And it gives me a thrill when you’re watching me
And I don’t care nothin’ ‘bout relationships
Just worship me and leave a big tip

Subject: I Am....I Said
LA's fine, sunshine most of the time
The feeling is laid back
Palm trees grow and the rents are low
But you know i keep thinking about
Making my way back

Well, i'm new york city born and raised
But nowadays, i'm lost between two shores
LA's fine, but it ain't home
New york's home but it ain't mine no more

I am, i said
To no one there
And no one heard at all
Not even the chair
I am, i cried
I am, said i
And i am lost, and i can't even say why
Leavin' me lonely still

Did you ever read about a frog who dreamed of being a king
And then became one
Well, except for the names and a few other changes
If you talk about me, the story's the same one

But i got an emptiness deep inside
And i've tried but it won't let me go
And i'm not a man who likes to swear
But i've never cared for the sound of being alone

I am, i said
To no one there
And no one heard at all
Not even the chair
I am, i cried
I am, said i
And i am lost, and i can't even say why
Leavin' me lonely still
