Subject: Needed help with Cheversi !

Hi to everybody, I am the author of Cheversi and would like to ask you to help me to test the new rules. All of you who tried Cheversi know, that this game wasn't nicely balanced . So, this is my attempt to correct this obvious weakness of the game. Please accept ONLY if you would like to follow the new rules and help me testing this game. The games posted in waiting room are unrated and not counted.
Here are the rules:
Pieces can be put on the board ONLY when they touch any other piece(s) previously put on the board, regardless of their color ... pieces can be touched vertically, horizontally or diagonally ... so there will be an unbroken body or chain of mixed pieces of both players ...
Please help me to try this new version of Cheversi rules...
Thanks in advance,
Andy.

I've tried Goldtoken, Itsyourturn, YourturmMyturn and something else, and frankly, all those sites look
kind of mcdonaldish ... we may disagree with Fencer in this or that, we may miss something here or there, but I feel like being at home at brainking ...

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays for all of you.

sure, it's not even my business to try to convince you I am right ... there is an old chinese saying: the wise man tries to UNLEARN something every day ... well, it can be applied to our situation if you streach your imagination a little bit ...

rat race ? please no ... I hope Fencer will not go toward a virtual empire with flashing lights,
attacking UFOs and fighting for bonuses that create other bonuses and so on ...

of course, u can create the whole virtual village, like casinos, where u can eat, sleep and play 24/7/365 ... this system works for you, but could you tell me what percentage of players actually take part in discussions ? few percent I bet. I think playing your games (variety) and leaving is healthier than playing, chating, playing, discussing etc ... this is just artificially pumped crowd ... I love this place what I told Fencer many times, but I think that it's getting too "populated" with features ...
Look at Amazon.com, they started with books but now u can buy everything from them and I do not like globalisation, wallmartysm and putting every possible idea under one roof ... in some point, control must be lost which will affect the quality and the focus will be lost ...
Regards,
Andy.

oh no, you are wrong ... they come here because of games and stay here because of MORE GAMES ...
u r missing the point ... I was in and out of brainking several times and my comeback was always to see new chess variations or other games but never to check a new fountain ...

Andy.

I do not agree with you ... people are coming to this site because of diversity of games played here, not because there are Action Points, Stairs or Ponds or Brains ... do you want to tell me that you came here as a result of "googling" for pente fellowship or ponds, for example, or just simply because you were looking for a site to play pente ?

no problem ... he loves to play bridge ... do I have to continue ?... the whole gamut of card games ( played in real time, named maybe "cardking.com") ... dominoes is untouched
with at least 5-10 superb games waiting for implementation ... solitaire games, board and card games ... sudoku and the whole series of japanese Nikoli puzzles ... etc, etc ...
I think there are too many decorations creating more and more confusions ...

what are you talking about all the time ? Why do we need all those whistles, fountains and special features for our games ? It takes so much Fencer's creative energy which could be used for some other stuff ... I never use these brains, ponds, stairs, templates ... for what ? It's like having 900 TV channels while you need only 3 or 4 ...
With all the respect .. please stop it.
Andy.

it's possible , however, I never played it ...
maybe the solution would be like in Connect6,
the first player enters 1 number, the second player 2 numbers and so on ... just a quick thought ... there has to be a solution, I've seen several Sudoku board games on the market.

here is the link to one of the way to play. I think there are other ways too:
http://www.menneske.no/sudokuto/eng/
anyway, here are the rules:
"The rules for inserting a number is the same as a regular Sudoku. You are only allowed to insert a number one time in the row, column or box.
The winner is the persons who either manage to fill in a whole row, column or box, or inserts the last legal number. But beware, you lose if you insert an illegal number."

Fencer, are you going to implement Sudoku, for 2 players, on your site ?

thanks for response, but for me, not that is good, which always was good, but what is good in particular circumstances. And black control pegs do not work well on a blackish background.

Hi Fencer. Could you please change the color of control black pegs into a red ? Also I would suggest changing one of the "dirty white" peg into a green one ... visibility will improve a lot.
Thanks,
Andy.
