Do you have people borrow your movies? I do. I have so many that I developed a Palm program to track what movies I have and who has which movie. I even post my DVD list on my web site (www.summertop.com). Sorry, good people of BK, I don't ship and I don't loan them out to people I don't know.

Well I never had cable/satilite TV until recently - so I would buy a lot of pre-views movies from Blockbuster (or other stores), so I have slowly built up a collection of over 1,000 VHS tapes, and now about 250 DVD. BUT recently we got satilite TV, so now I rarely watch any of my movies - and will probable start trying to sell many of the VHS movies soon since I don't watch them.

Yeah, it is about hockey. 1000 movies? What is it, the BBW video store? I have over 200 hundred DVD's and countless videos, but not 1000 worth. Are you like me...STILL nothing to watch? LOL.

Mystery, Alaska - is that about hocky? I believe that is one of the movies I own (I have over 1,000) - but it's been a long time since I watched it.

I thought Generations was great. Sometimes heroes die. It would be so "artificial" if important people could not die. Spock died in Startrek 2. Data died in Nemesis. Picard's clone died too.

What are your thoughts on Nemesis. I found Picard's clone to be Extremely wasteful of time. He knew his condiction was time dependent. He had 2 missions. Do the blood transfusion and destroy Earth. He Jacked around the whole time till it was way too late.

Oh Great. A Trekkie.

Let me just say I agree with you Lord of the Rings People. The Trilogy is a Masterpiece in so many ways.

That said, Most fans of star trek like the original series and star trek iv: the voyage home.
I did not see much of the original series to get attached to it. I like the Voyager Series best of all. The technology is sophisticated, the dialogue is intriguing, there is a lot of depth in the scenarios and who does not love Seven of Nine.

Star Trek IV: The Voyage home was great, but I much prefer VI: the undiscovered country. There is playful yet serious exchange of dialogue. Beyond that the artistic intention is unique and creative.

Worst ST movie: ST V the final frontier.

Are there any Trekkies here?

Voyager Second Season is out. I got the first season. I found it to be short. Could have done with two more episodes. There were no outtakes. Some outtakes would have been cool. And of course no Seven of Mine. I guess she does not arrive till the 3rd season.

Two Star Trek questions.
Which series is the best and which movie was the best?

That said, let's talk current box office.
Saw Shrek 2. It was good. Solid performance by Pinochio and Donkey.

Troy. Solid performance by our boy, Brad Pitt. Man, Archilles had style. Didn't quite like how he ended though. Our boy Orlando put some serious arrows in him.

Van Helsing. Wolverine did well but the whole story was weak almost like Hellboy. The action is there but the movie was empty.

Wurd.
HB.

At the start of this movie, you hear the voice of the Prime Minister, played by Hugh Grant, narrating:

"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world,
I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport.

General opinions starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed,
but I don't see that.

Seems to me that love is everywhere.

Often it's not particualary dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there.

Fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends.

When the planes hit the Twin Towers,
as far as I know,
none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge.

They were all messages of love.

If you look for it,
I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that loveactually...Is all around."

After sobbing for a bit...I went on to enjoy a movie, written and directed by Richard Curtis....who is brilliant, charming, witty, and profound.

The cast is superlative...and the soundtrack awesome.

The Rock is ruggedly handsome....and the man can ACT!! I predict he will go far in the acting field.

And any movie with Christopher Walken is just a treat.

My creepy apt. building owner won't put cable in..
soooooo...at least with Netflix, I am slowly going to be able to watch cable shows...Just finished the first 2 shows of 'Taken'....so cool.

If any parent or guardian has a child around this age, especially one who shows signs of trouble.
I highy recomend this film.
It was concieved, and co-writen, by a very young, Niki Reed. Who also stars as the troubled Evie Zamora.
The film centers around 'Tracey', played by Evan Rachel Wood (other film includes 'The Missing' as the kidnaped daughter), and how she falls, willingly, under the wrong influence of Evie.
Holly Hunter is superb as the Mom.
And Jeremy Sisto is very good as the 'half-way house junkie boyfriend' of the mom.

Lots of violence, blood, gore, sexual content.
But as an adult, nothing I couldn't handle.
The 'hard part' for me to handle was the betrayal.
But that was a big part of the story line.
Don't you have 'rateings' in England?
