puupia: NP is in Europe all the time, they are bigger their than here, do yourself a favor and check them out.........I would only do it if it was a bar setting with a VIP lounge, that's how I booked the Motorhead/NP show, we had lots of room up there, away from the crush. The Sound Acadamy is perfectly equiped for it, and the present some big bands

The Col: Motörhead and NP really rock! Although i have not been able to see NP live yet, but Motörhead is always great. If your clients enjoyed that, they very well might like Finntroll also. But of course MH&NP are easy listening compared to Finntroll (and Ensiferum who will be joining FT on the tour also).

But i'm not quite sure what kind of fanbase Finntroll has overseas and what kind of atmosphere would be on their show there. I would guess that they are not very well known on that side of the big pond? Maybe something can be judged by the venues they play at, for example DNA Lounge@San Francisco, El Corazon@Seattle, The Rebuplik@Calgary and Starlite room@Edmonton.

Anyways in your position i would atleast check out some reviews about their shows around there, or better yet go check it myself before taking clients to see them.

Tuesday: Very nice. The band was great as usual, very energetic. Setlist was a good combination of new and older stuff. But I would have liked to hear Det Iskalla Trollblod also! The audience was not the craziest i've seen on Finntroll gig, but pretty nice atmosphere anyway for a thursday night show. Anyways, i really enjoyed it!

They are touring Finland this month, then europe for the rest of year and US&Canada in beginning of 2011. I highly recommend everyone (with even slightest interest to metal music) to go see them, great liveband!

I wonder what Edward Grieg would think about this rendition of one his masterpieces if he was still alive?

Some parts of the song sounded awesome, but then they go from one thing to another so often that it seems like a horrible mess. Anyways i guess i have to find out more about this band--

rod03801: Definitely his biggest hit, matching that success became a burden, he really just wanted to play the blues.
