Subject: Re:private fellowships work differently from public boards. The BB of a f/s can only hide the posts from his view, but everyone else can see the posts.....
Jason: sorry. I didn't mean to suggest what you said wasn't correct. You are right. If you manually put in the codes, the boards work the same. I just wanted to point out that in a fellowship you have the option of just removing someone, which is something you can't do on a public board.
For me, that just seems the best way to be done with someone who you don't want posting, or copying and pasting, etc. So if they are a problem, then you just remove and problem is gone.
But yes, everything you said is correct.

Czuch: yep- that's the only way I know of...and if you just remove them, then you don't have to worry about any of the rest of it, right?

Subject: Re:
Czuch: private fellowships work differently from public boards. The BB of a f/s can only hide the posts from his view, but everyone else can see the posts.....on a public board, when a mod hides posts, only the mods can see it, not everyone else. You probably know this, I just mean to be helpful.
This may be obvious as well and not quite the point, but can't a BB just remove anyone from the fellowship that they want to? That way you don't have to worry about hides or bans...just remove them...A BB of a fellowship has a right to remove anyone they want from their fellowship

Jules: just my opinion. I think people should be free to express opinions if it's done in a decent way.
When the main mod comes on I may have to stand corrected.

ok, this discussion is getting a little away from what this board is about....
opinions about a fellowship in my opinion are ok as long as they aren't completely baiting. I don't see a problem with someone reporting a negative experience in a f/s to warn others.
As far as people on here asking personal questions about why someone is or isn't in a f/s or like it, well, that's better left to PMs..ok? thanks

And I thank you for being respectful : ) I was trying to do the same : )
And you brought to our attention a fellowship that's trying to make a difference here, for people to go to for help. That can't be a bad thing! It's just the discussions or opinions of what people say in there that I didn't want on this board. I hope you understand that.

Subject: Re: Re:
harley: thanks for your help harley and purple. Since I am not a member of that fellowship, I don't know if that is the case or not, but as a mod of this board, I didn't know if it was something that should be allowed. I was erring on the side of caution, since that is the rule in many of the fellowships I belong to.

Subject: Re: Re:
Czuch Chuckers: maybe I AM wrong...who can answer this? I always thought that what was said in a private fellowship was supposed to remain there and not be discussed on a public board.
Maybe it's just some certain fellowships I'm in where that is the case? I always thought what was said in a fellowship was supposed to stay in there...

Subject: Re: Re:
ClayNashvilleTn: ok, but I DO know that there is more than one mod people have complained about, myself included. Maybe not in that fellowship, but I interpretted your post as that being the general case on the site as a whole, so I felt it needed a respose. Now we are both off topic, so let's move on. Please.

Subject: Re: Re:
ClayNashvilleTn: I would be really amazed to find out that there is more than one mod that people are complaining about, unless is it a biased group ganging up on one individual, which I have seen happen in private fellowships.
I also feel that you are getting off topic here Clay. This board is for fellowships, not the specific discussions that go on in a fellowship. In fact, I don't believe you are supposed to discuss on a public board what's said in a private fellowship, so I would thank you to not say any more on that matter here and leave the board for others to post about their fellowships and keep that discussion where it belongs, please.

I bet all 3 of us and every other mod is a topic there. If you moderate, someone's going to complain. Public board here, let's keep it nice guys, ok? Thanks
