I couldn't access it for the last 9 hours and before 5-10 min was really slow..... Now seems OK but i don't see any time suspension?!?! I guess again Czechs didn't have any problems at all to access it, so it's the internet's line fault, even if i don't understand for what general internet line Fencer speaks....For me only Brainking didn't work so i don't understand....?!?

And after the previous problems before 3-4 days i'm starting to think that something is not good despite Fencer's words that everything is fine.
Oh well, i hope this will not happen again.....

LOL! Yes perhaps i will buy another one, but i guess i won't do it, since then 90 days of vacation in half a year, would mean that i can break the world record and be written in the Guinness book. But since i don't want publicity i won't do it....

Go here: Dark Chess and if at the top of the screen there isn't an obvious option of "Export PGN to a zip file" then i guess it is for paying members only.....

Fencer 2 questions:
So are all the Gothic Chess games available to give them to me....?
Does the exported PGN of one game, for example Chess, includes the games that have been private....?

When you are on a game's description page there is an "Export PGN to a zip file" option where you can download all the games in the selected date interval of your choice!!!!

To Fencer: Is there any chance of emailing me or having available of all games of the Gothic Chess game?
Do you still have these games?

Groucho: That's about a five year membership and you get a lifetime!

So if someone wants to really support Brainking it has to stay away from these black devils....!
Since if i stay for example 7 years as a white Rook at Brainking i will pay 270 € while as a black Rook i will pay only 150 €. And it gets worse as years pass.....

Personally another and actually the decisive reason is the: "you will have a membership for a lifetime"! This brings me in front of the devastating inevitable and i hate to see so far in the future
I prefer to see only 6 months ahead even if i also hate this..... 2 days ahead is enough!

    Here is the evidence:
    francescolr 24. December 2005 7621 MOVES played.

    7621 moves at 1 day.
If we assume 6 hours for sleeping then we have:
    7621 moves at 18 hours =
    423 moves per 1 hour =
    7 moves per minute =
1 move every 8 seconds for 18 hours without any break!!!!
    This is not human

So francescolr: Whats speeds your spacecraft reaches.....?

Walter Montego: Oh, you are going too far, i wasn't thinking actually of a change to the whole system but only of the philosophy of it.
But if we talk about changing the whole system then yes i agree with you. Freedom of speech without ANY restriction is what i prefer too!

Also a correction on the "I disagree with you. This is the system we have now." This is not what we have now, since now every moderator obeys to his own charter.

So suppose we allow 2 options: The sensitive one-> "with moderators" and the other that allows complete freedom of voice.
Well this is a bit odd since it would split the people into 2 categories. That's not the best but it's doable and worth looking at it as an option.....Actually this is the best option i can think of....

One easy way to create that system is:
Keep the current system as it is with an extra option available to choose from. That is to see the posts removed. As an option. So when a moderator deletes a post, the post would not actually been deleted but only stay hidden from people that haven't enabled that option. Others that have it enabled, can see every post and these that have been "deleted/hidden".

    Agreeeeeeeeed!

The current system with the moderators:
-delete anything THEY think should not be posted or
-do anything THEY think is right, is not good at all....

The way the moderators should act is to have a charter and force the posters to follow it.
Anything that doesn't violate the charter should be allowed even if the moderator disagrees with that!
The charter of course SHOULD be crystal clear, without the slightest possibility to generate any different convenient interpretations, by the moderators in order to do again what THEY think right.

For example the charter could be like this:

The moderators should force the members to make posts that:
  • Are, within reason, on the topic of the discussion board.
  • Are not abusive in nature.
  • Do not contain personal or libelous attacks on others.
  • Are not of questionable legal status.
  • Are not obvious trolling.
Other of course can be added.
The moderators should force the posters to follow these and only these rules, without creating any new personal criteria.

    Chicago Bulls
    One thing remains unclear:
Tuesday said some of her posts have been deleted while the moderators agreed that her posts have been OK with nothing wrong at them.
    There is a contradiction right?

If i am a moderator and don't find anything bad at a post but delete it, then if i didn't delete it by mistake, i'm a moron and have to be replaced with someone better.....!

    Mary Jo:
    When a game has:
Time for game : Time: 1 day, Bonus: 3 hours, Limit: 10 days, no days off

    Then it means that:
You have 1 day = 24hours to play the whole game and not the move.
That means: if your opponent plays a move and then 2 hours later you play your response, you will then have 24-2 = 22 hours to play the game.
If your opponent makes another move later and you play after 8 hours(from his response), then you will have 22-8 = 14 hours left to play the whole game.

But that with bonus = 0. With bonus = 3 hours like here, after your move you will have 3 hours added to your time left for the whole game....

Limit = 10 days, just declares that if you play many moves quickly and the bonus is not 0, so your time for the whole game increases, this value can't go above 10 days....

The same exists for your opponent of course.

Probability of getting nothing for free = 25%
