Can we have a way to see if games we have created are in either the Site Waiting Room OR a Fellowship one

As we can not see our own games in Waiting Rooms there is no way of knowing where we have games left

We have the bottom of the Main page, but that does not tell us where those games have been posted.

It would be extremely helpful to know when going about posting some more

Players in Teams

a) Could there be a toggle of some sort where players can make there selves available or not for Team games. Some players just leave Teams when they have a lot of games and never return. It would be a great way of solving this problem. This would also help if a Team is short, we could contact those Players.

b) Players that have not been on in a month (and turned Grey). Could they either be removed automatically from the Team, show as Grey in the actual challenge as it does not so they may well get entered by mistake or if point (a) is introduced, set as unavailable.

Please consider these options Fencer, they would be so helpful

When we get a Team challenge result through, could you include the BKR change please, like in a normal game

Although this seems something little, it could bring a few new members apparently

It seems that there are people from IYT who would play here if they could have an option to change the colour of pieces, as they are so used to playing at IYT with there colours they cannot get used to Black / White in line games etc.... here.

Would it be possible to set which colours you would like to use, maybe just create another couple sets of pieces

Marfitalu: I had similar thought when we first had Random Team. I did post a question to the Madhouse about how they would like Stairs. As one whole including all games or sections (Random Gammon, Random Boats etc..), its difficult as you could end up with huge amount Stairs

Just because someone wishes to be in a particular Fellowship and play for them, why should they not be given a chance to play ?

It works perfectly well in real life. I play in a Darts 'A' Team, and we have a 'B' Team

Could we have have a way of entering more than one Team into a Team Tournament. I know this is a problem encountered by Fellowships dedicated to a particular game(s) like Gammons & Boats, but i run into this problem to in the Madhouse as well.

Its a shame so many players that want to play miss out until the next Tournament of that particular game which could be months away

I was just going through lots of Team Tournaments games, just to see how all players were doing and one thing kept jumping out

I kept get lost as to which of the 2 players was on my Team

For all purposes there is nothing (except the Tournament title) that distinguishes a game from any normal game, but unless i hover over that, i do not know who is on which Team.

How about in Team Tournaments & Challenge matches, the Flag of a player is changed for the Fellowship Flag of who they are playing for

It would certainly show who is playing for who, and look quite smart. It actually shows you are playing for a Team, rather than as an individual

The big difference is that you use cubes (shock there) instead of disks and the cube sides are numbered 1 to 6.
ALL cubes start with 1 facing upwards.
After each non-jumping move, a player may turn a different one of his cubes to its next highest number, thus increasing its power and preventing it being jumped by a lower numbered cube.
A cube that becomes a 6 either by turning or reaching the opposite side of the board is deemed a king.
AND thats it, just played like normal Checkers, BUT with those differences.

BrainKing is getting great with all the 2 player games and MANY variations, but sadly we seem to be stuck there. Many of our rival turn-based game sites now have 3 & 4 player board games and have for ages now (excluding Ponds of course).

I wish we could concentrate on 3 and/or 4 players games here soon, some great ones we have here are already lend themselves so well to it, e.g. Chess, Assimilation, Ataxx, Ludo, Scrambled Eggs, Froglet, Dice Poker etc.....

Now they would be awesome

Fencer, (just a small thing) is it possible to add the mini game board used for inviting people to a game, to the names on the top right of the screen(Friends online), beside there message envelope ?

Just, most people that i invite to a game are friends, and that is the quickest way to see you friends are here

When you have time Fencer , could you add a Setting in the Japanese Chess settings please.

Like many here i have learnt the rules and enjoy it, but at present i can only use the International pieces (ones that show move directions).

I would like to learn the proper pieces (with the characters on top). So i was thinking maybe a Javascript Setting so if you hover over a piece on the board, the corresponding one shows.

This would save having to keep changing settings and make it easier to learn the proper pieces

How about a small modification to Scrambled Eggs, to get Parachute . (Could think of a better name lol)

Only half the pieces are on the board to start with (normally left & right sides). Each player starts with six of his opponent's stones in reserve.

The first six moves consist of making a regular move and placing one of the opponent's stones, anywhere on the board.

After this, game continues as normal

Just a thought Fencer, but if the opponent has the Setting on Nobody (and friends only for certain people), can the message box be removed or does that happen ?
It would just save writing things that would never get read, this should really happen on Blocked opponents as well

Hence my list in the notepad tends to get rather long
Could we please have a Delete button at the bottom of the page to delete ALL selected Notes like we have in our Message Box.
There is a 'Select all on this page' tick box there, but that just moves Notes to folders, maybe a Delete beside that

Well there is now, and i know it has been mentioned a few times before, but i would like to ask again

Regarding Elimination Tournaments.
We have to set to either 4, 8, 16 players etc...

Fencer, if you have time soon, can you work on the not enough players to start some games in a Tournament issue.
In other words, have byes so the Tournament can still play if the Tournament is not full.

If only 15 players enter a 16 player Elimination, we have 7 games + 1 bye (picked at random)
If only 11 players enter a 16 player Elimination, we have 3 games + 5 byes (picked at random)
If only 25 players enter a 32 player Elimination, we have 9 games + 7 byes (picked at random) etc..etc.., well you know what i mean

It just seems such a shame, to the people that enter these Tournaments, that end up just getting deleted

Most of us that create regular Tournaments, when we create Elimination ones, come across the same problem. We have a great selection of games here on BrainKing, but when we create multiple games in a Elimination Tournament we will always get people for the popular games here (Gammons, Ludo, Poker etc..), but then the lesser played games hardly ever get enough, and end up deleted.

It would be great if the people that bother to enter these, actually get to play

Fencer, its great to have the ability to create our own message Box folders

Do you think (when you have time of course lol) you could create a basic filter for the message box.

e.g. Anyone message heading containing 'XXXXXXXXXX' sent to folder 'XXXXXXXXXXX'

This would be extremely useful and save time, and also would stop a red number showing as a new message when the message maybe something we want sent to Trash or game over etc...

Could we please have an Archive option at the bottom of the Trash bin, as i deleted something i should not have and want to Archive it for future reference, but there is no way to get it out the Trash bin

pyssso: Agreed, i asked for an Archive and Next Button ages ago.

I normally Archive all messages saying Tournament is finished, then once every couple of weeks go through them and post all the winners together.

Hopefully this will be easy to set up as it is just an extension of something already here.

At the moment when we look at Fellowship Members & Team Members in a Fellowship, if they have not been on in 31 days they are coloured Grey background.

Would it be possible for the Grey backgrounds to show up when we get:
a) A challenge match, at present we goto the link and it shows ALL players available.
b) At the Team Tournament sign up page (for the same reason)

This would help greatly in starting matches with players no longer playing here

Not really a request as the Feature is already there, just not seem to pick up a certain option.

In the Move and goto ........... (wherever) box when submitting, there is an option to 'go to the Tournament' when playing a Tournament game

Could we have that show when playing a Team Tournament game as well please so we can go there

AbigailII: Any Mancala type games would be great, but this version is far more balanced, trust me i have been playing it on BugCafe and it is nothing like playing with just 4 in each pot, each game is different every time (well up to about 4,096 if my maths is right lol), and like i said it would be so easy to add to the site

A simple game request, in fact probably 1 or 2 lines of code to change and a totally different and HARDER game

I would not normally borrow a game from another site, but BugCafe have introduced Mancala now and they probably got it from here so how about we take one of there ideas

Both players start with the same 24 stones BUT rather than distributed 4 in each pot at the start, they are placed randomly over the 6 pots

Not only harder, but is less of an advantage for white

Fencer: Could you write a little sub-routine, so when we goto page 1 of our profile (Finished games) that shows all our completed games wins, losses, draws, BKRs, ratings etc.... we could click on somewhere that would just display the same set of results for actual games completed properly

In other words DO NOT count timed out games

I am quite interested in my own of course as i know that twice at least over the years, i have had hundreds of games time out on me as i had no connection.
I am sure it could be useful for everyone, to see how there actual results on proper finished games looked like, without the effect of timed out ones

The AutoPlayer will not move if there is a message from your opponent, which in this case there is as the AutoPlayer sent the message.

Once you have made your move it should be OK from then on

(Another little BUG, mctrivia has to solve, ignore AutoPlayer messages LOL)

Saves having to go back to Fellowship, and change Bosses to Captains, then back again, if the original Captain does not get round to it, just to put a Team in

Could we please have a colour dot visible for just Bosses to see which Team Tournaments have there Fellowship Teams been entered in
