Just trying to work out why a Fellowship one is removed from the list when you have voted in it, but a Public one is not.

WellyWales: It might be better to put this information to the Main Page only (similar to new photo comment notifications), in order not to overload the database by calculating the number at every BrainKing page.

rednaz23: Some useful ideas Phil

Number 6 is always useful in Polls. I have had a little play to see how the system works and seems fine

Only things i may add to the list are:
7. Could the Poll be left open, so new members of a Fellowship can vote. I can take the results of my Poll of BrainKing games for our next PRIZE Tournament at any time then, and then leave it open to see how new members effect it (guess i could set it for its maximum). Maybe a Close button to 'Close the Poll NOW'
8. An addition to umber (4) on your list. When choosing more than one option, can it be possible to set a maximum number of selections if we wish please (i.e. the favourite 5 games here)

Think that's all i have.
Thanks Fencer for introducing it, it will be a very useful tool

rednaz23: 1) I think there is, it's the fellowship links. It points to the Links subpage of the fellowship.
2) Really? That's a typo in the code. Can be easily fixed.
3) Yes.
4) Well, actually you define a deadline based on BK time but then it is displayed in your time zone. I think it's better because sometimes the time zone calculation is not correct due to different DST rules around the world.
5) Sure.
6) Yes, that can be added.

BadBoy7: Well; most of the time that should not be a problem. I think allowing the big boss and little boss the opportunity to delete those things would not be out of line if some people were to do that... for the most part the open field would allow for better polling answers, as the majority of the time someone does not want to answer to a specific choice; but would rather explain what they mean. The open field would allow for that.

rednaz23: in reply to #6 What about an 'other option' where poll takers can supply their own answer........ I Think The Object is too have the BB or LB of the poll To Supply the answer you may choose from.... if there was a other option to supply your own answer.i think that would be a way for some to put smart A answers

Subject: Polls feature
I love the polls feature; I think it is a great addition that will be used by the big bosses a lot!

However, there are a few things that are missing.

1. There is no link to get back to the polls page.
2. The description does not show up with the name of the poll where you can make your choice of answers.
3. Can a bar graph be added based on the numbers?
4. deadline is based on BK time; can it be based on the users time? (same for tournies in general)
5. Can smileys be enabled?
6. What about an 'other option' where poll takers can supply their own answer?

That's all I have for now. Hope this helps! I am looking forward to writing polls so I can improve my fellowship. I am sure many other BBs feel the same!

Thanks,

Phil (rednaz23)

Is there any way to connect brainking.info to brainking.com, as in when you Subscribe to an entry, would it be possible to have a message sent to our Message box here ?

paully: I find it far faster than Firefox 2.0, and it is meant to be. Every Beta version i have tried is great. PLEASE remember, this may not be the final version released, it is a complete version of everything that has been developed and there may be bugs about. If worried, wait till the final release date which hopefully will be later this month
