This is true Chuck. However I am smart and only have like 3 different passwords I use. I know which one is for which websites. If people are smart they have them written down or stored somewhere too.

Perhaps the pawns should have a pawns(and white king)-only fellowship where they could post their thoughts on us where we couldn't read them? (And have one non-rated tournament going in the fellowship at any one time.)

then you just have to log in one time and it's back to the way it was. the few times that i've done it, it did seem to speed things up, but i don't do it very often.

It is also debatable whether it makes any difference, or helps at all.

Again, the downside is that you will lose all of your auto log ins, and for some people, that is a huge downside problem....

it's on your webtv homepage, the go to help or tips, and it will direct you to the link, it's very easy. then you will have to re-log in to all your websites.

Start at your MSNtv home page. Click on MSNTV tips. From there go to settings heading on the right hand side of that page and click on delete your cookies. Push try it when you get to the net screen, that will bring up an utilities page. Go down to the end to click on the reset cookies button. Then it will be done. The only down side is that once you turn off the unit you will have to log on to whatever sites you need a password to get into. I have the sites automatically recall my password so I can avoid logging in each time but when you do the cookies delete you will have to reset that option on various websites.

CurrentRiver: sorry that I don't know enough about WebTV to help you. (I'm sure someone will post here soon and help)

But if you do have WebTV, you should join the WebTV Fellowship - I don't know how much chatting goes on in there, but it would be a good place to check out!

I cleanout my cookies and have fewer problems after that with all websites. The only problem then is I have to relogin everywhere that i have a password. I normally have the login saved so I get right in but after you wipe out cookies you have to log back in again.

This is a frequent problem with WebTV. Powering off and powering back on ALWAYS fixes it. (Until the next time anyways.)

Is anyone having trouble getting to their games? I keep getting the popup message telling me that it has a kind of item that cannot be used. Now when I finally get to the site I've played a few games and it's started again. What to do. I've already had 3 games to time out and maybe more by now. :o(

Yeah, I can't even click on my main page right now, and there is a backgammon game where one piece wont let me move it.

For the white screen, I usually just hit the back button, then scroll up to the main page link and go from there. This might be quicker for you :)

I keep getting this message the past several days. It varys from tome to time where it happens. I have cleared my cache etc... Sometimes it is in a game, other times it is trying to get to the main pqge.

Is anyone else with this problem?

Also, I asked before, but it got lost.
hen the game time is suspended, the time continues to run on the games. Is this right?
It seems to me that if the site is having problems enough to use the game time out option, then the game clocks should stop also.
What am I missing here?
Yhanks :)

Fencer.. I do not think there are many who would object to you running this more on a commercial basis, as long as the paying customer came first. It is your choice to run this how you will, but I firmly believe that the labourer is worthy of his hire, and that it should be possible without changing the site flavour to much.
I respect your right to give your time and effort for free but would rather see you garner the rewards rather than those who take advantage of your generosity.

I agree with what Fencer said also. This is a game site.

I personaly did not pay my membership to just play games here, because there are plenty of other places I can just play games. My membership was paid for the "extras" that are above and beyond just the games.

Suggestion: If I was a new pawn to this site and had a question, I would not know to go look for customer service people on a different site! Could there be a way (like an option on the left side) to "contact customer service", or "ask a question to customer service" that pawns could use? Then have the question possible go to the "Customer Service Discussion Board" where it could then be answered and/or delt with.

OH - And something I know I do not say enough: Fencer, you are doing a GREAT JOB with the game site! Your hard work is appricated!

Good point Fencer.
Pawns have a lot of chances to play here for free.
Members have been quite generous where they are concerned.
We have the boost a pawn program and now a prize tournament where they are almost guaranteed a membership for almost nothing only 3 have taken advantage of it. Very sad I think.

I'm not offended,Carlos...and I dont mean to offend Fencer either...but someone needs to be realistic here in cyberland.
Yes...this is a gamesite...one with some extremely talented players. But it is also turned into a cyber-community...were friendships have been formed.
Its the discussion boards and the fellowships that make BrainKing different from other sites.
Its a shame,Fencer, you dont get paid to run this site and play games and moniter discussion boards..but eventually,I'm sure there will be a paid BrainKing.com staff.
But removing features that were once there, features many of us have paid for...seems to be taking steps backwards and not forwards.
I guess I'm playing the devils advocate here...but in order to remain positive...sometimes you have to ask about the negatives.
