Artful Dodger: well that is the same with religion as well....I notice on here that a lot of people impose their religious beliefs on others....I have given up joining a lot of the "older" type boards on here as they are too "one-eyed" for me

Subject: Re: FOCA (Freedom of Choice Act)
Artful Dodger: ***I'm unclear as to what extent the law would go with regard to the health of the mother***

Well I do know from personal experience (albeit 40 plus years ago and my SIL) the Catholic Church would sacrifice the mother to save the child.

She was allowed to die to save the child. At the time I was married to the brother of a priest (catholic) and he said because Alison was a convert the child was Gods child and Alison wasn't...or words to that effect....it was so long ago....I no longer belong to that church so don't know if their policies might have changed, so please don;'t jump on my case......

$400,000 per year....not a great salary for the "supposed" most important and powerful man in the world is it?

If his current declaration is correct there are going to be a lot of americans with severe salary cuts arent there???

Subject: Re: Has the extreme heat gotten to this Aussie???
Czuch: at least we don't have the horrific problems of recession that the USA has. I dont personally like Kevin Rudd as I'm not a labourite, but he is a clever man and has some great policies to see that we do not go under as the USA has done.

His pre decessor saw to it that we had NO budget deficit, so this enables Kevin07 to be able to instigate the policies he is now doing so - monetary wise.

And extreme heat is correct.....record temps in 100+ years.
