Artful Dodger: yes they do have problems with their health care as does australia. we have poeple going to india for ops cause it is cheaper to fly there, have the op , fly home and be dead in a month, than it is to wait for 3 years for the op in australia and be dead in 6 months ROFL.......

Artful Dodger: In australia we have free education, free health care, nearly $600 per fortnight for the bludgers on the dole who refuse to go to work...all they have to do is apply for 2 jobs per week( I think it is) to collect that. Everybody gets paid to have babies...$2000 per child so you have the trollops of society having heaps of kids and then when the money has gone on drugs etc the Govt. looks after the kids with a payment every month - called "Child support"...I have a feeling that it depends on how much you have....rich get nothing , poor get it all. They dont have to work for any of this.

As you say free health care is a meaningless point when it is a god given right.....people expect it and really kick up when it isnt received.

I think either New Zealand or Australia is the Leader in social services and sets examples to the rest of the world.....not that they are good examples, when the bludgers abuse it.

" If you envy successful people, you create a negative force field of attraction that repels you from ever doing the things that you need to do to be successful. If you admire successful people, you create a positive force field of attraction that draws you toward becoming more and more like the kinds of people that you want to be like."
--- Brian Tracy

" When you talk about your troubles, your ailments, your diseases, your hurts, you give longer life to what makes you unhappy. Talking about your grievances merely adds to those grievances. Give recognition only to what you desire. Think and talk only about the good things that add to your enjoyment of your work and life. If you don't talk about your grievances, you'll be delighted to find them disappearing quickly."

Wife exercised man to his death

The Daily Telegraph

15 February 2009

AN elderly man was "exercised to death" by his wife - who forced him to swim even as he gasped for breath.

Christine Newton-John, 41, has pleaded guilty to reckless homicide after her 73-year-old husband James Mason died after being forced to swim to the point that he suffered a heart attack.

Surveillance video footage showed Newton-John, a transgender, pulling Mason around the pool by his arms and legs, Middlefield police Chief Joseph Stehlik said.

He said he counted 43 times in which Newton-John prevented her husband from leaving the water.

Mason rested his head on the side of the pool several times while gasping for breath.

"The man was exercised to death," Chief Stehlik said.

"The video is bone-chilling. The whole case is very sinister."

Mason had a heart attack on June 2 after the extended swim session.

Mason had been a longtime friend of his wife's family.

He knew her as John Vallandingham before she had gender reassignment surgery in 1993 and changed her name in honour of Olivia Newton-John, the singer and star of the hit movie Grease.

The couple were wed in 2006 in Kentucky, where people can change their gender on their birth certificate.

But authorities said the marriage was troubled and Mason was subjected to years of abuse.

"I think he was victimised for years by her," Chief Stehlik said.

An officer who had investigated previous complaints that Mason was being abused pursued the case because he suspected there was more to the death, Chief Stehlik said.

Newton-John was charged with her husband's death last week and pleaded guilty. She faces up to five years in prison.

The video would have had a profound effect on a jury, Geauga County prosecutor David Joyce said.

But that would not have been enough for a conviction if Newton-John had been charged with murder.

"You can see the man struggling for his life on the tape, but there is no audio, so we couldn't hear what he was saying," Mr Joyce said.

Before her arrest, Newton-John had the gumption to threaten the owner of the apartment complex with a lawsuit over Mason's death.

Carnal knowledge is an archaic or legal euphemism for sexual intercourse. The word "carnal" derives from latin carnalis, meaning "fleshly", and the word "knowledge" in this phrase derives from the "Biblical sense" of the word, which means "sexual relations".

In criminology, the phrase has had different meanings at different times and in different jurisdictions. While commonly a mere euphemism for sexual intercourse (not necessarily unlawful), different jurisdictions may define carnal knowledge as a specific sex act such as contact between a penis and vagina, some laws elaborating this to include even "slight penile penetration of female genitalia". The definition sometimes includes a set of sex acts that include anal sex and/or oral sex, while some statutes specifically exclude such acts. The law may specify that the sex act must result in ejaculation, and/or orgasm. Carnal knowledge has also sometimes meant sexual intercourse outside of marriage, and sometimes refers to sex with someone under the age of consent. The phrase is often found in this sense in modern legal usage, as the term "rape" implies lack of consent, and consent is considered irrelevant to such cases.

apparently the girl is the "town bike" there are 5-6 14-16 yearold boys claiming they could be the father.....even the neighbours are saying there were always boys sleeping over at the house.....the parents should be held responsible.

In australia the girl would be charged with having underage sex.....in fact they both would.

they call it carnal knowledge

About 1 mile from my home an old motel was turned into studio apartments just before Xmas....this was for abused wives, is security patrolled and husbands can't go near it.

My self esteem was never *killed* as you put it because I left the next morning.

**Once upon a time**...Im lost on this one - sorry.

I never said it was the womans fault for staying, i said you have to have strength (Intestinal fortitude)to leave. You know what is wrong and how to fix it therefore - fix it.

Im sorry you had to keep going through it *shrugs* did you leave? or are you still in an abusive relationship.

You havn't had your head cut off, but then that could be better than being there, forever

anastasia: I CAN JUDGE AND WILL....................why???
because I have been there, same as you and your mother....she didnt leave and you were brought up in that sort of violent situation and you accept it as norm.....let me tell you ....when I had my head stomped, arms slashed with knives, punched in face until black and blue, only to wake up the next morning to hear..."I'm sorry".....yeah well mate so am I.....I'm outta here.....
I heard the "You leave and I will find you and I will kill you and the 2 kids".....great, then do it.

Know what?????................they are gutless when they are in front of other people......on their own they are the strongest, because they can beat a woman half to death. GUTLESS.

Now don't you tell me not to judge, I have been there and done that.....IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN ....to me.

I got the horrible disease out of my system, and so can everybody else. If a person hasnt got the intestinal fortitude to stand up and be counted, then accept your lot, and stop complaining about it.

and here are my pom pom's

Artful Dodger: Yes I partially agree with you....it is the woman who stay for years putting up with the abuse. There is always something/someone to help. The salvation army for starters, and they DO NOT require you to join the church before they will help like a lot of the others do.

Anyway.....Happy Valentines day to those that are happy and/or in love....beaten or otherwise........

Some women don't have the where-with-all or the brains to get out. They take repeated beatings because of "the kids"...what rubbish, don't they realise they are doing the kids harm by staying.

anastasia says....don't judge a woman for the choice she makes.....
I don't judge them I just won't give any sympathy when they choose to stay and get beaten.......you make your bed, you lie in it........

The Usurper: Some of the reasons people are poor is because the laws of our land are written by the rich and favor the rich, to the detriment of the poor

written by the rich?.....I don't know about US of A but that sounds like crap to me......laws are written to cover all races and credes regardless of standing in the community....well they are in Australia....there isn't one law for the rich and another for the poor.

Do I disagree.........YES
