Advertising comes to Firefox with 'sponsored' tiles
Will users of Mozilla's open-source Firefox browser soon see "sponsored" tiles when they try to open new tabs? Mozilla rolled out such tiles, dubbed "directory tiles," to Firefox's Nightly (early test) channel, tech site The Next Web reported recently. Users will be informed of the sponsored tiles when they launch Firefox Nightly. Users will also be told they can turn these tiles off.
