I was looking forward to the Russian Checker Team challenge and it didn’t start. It would appear at this site clubs do almost nothing and team challenges almost non existent. Is there any hope for this to improve????? I am looking to leave currently as this doesn’t seem like a very active site.
I am new here.

Kookaburra: The reason it did not start was it required four teams to start. There are only three teams signed up for the tournament.

Same with the ordinary checker one. Maybe I don’t play games that are popular here.

Kookaburra: It is difficult to get team tournament games running as players are in so many Fellowships.

Crosseyed Mary: Don’t they join teams? Just wondering.

Kookaburra: Yes they can but only join one team per tournament game. So if they are in several fellowships it makes difficult to get enough teams to sign up.

You are only talking about 4 teams of 4 players. That isn’t many.

Kookaburra: It is not always four players and four teams.

Maybe they could reduce the number required. But sounds like there is no development happening here.

Kookaburra: You are quite correct, it isn't a very active site.

moistfinger: It is an active site but perhaps not in the areas you would like.
What may have caused some decline was when the owner made it clear he had lost interest in this site.

Why did the owner lose interest in this site?

I agree when you can’t get 4 teams of 4 players for a game. It isn’t very active. In Goldtoken I have a number of clubs and can get 40 checker players in a tournament. It is a good site here. Just not very active. And the clubs here don’t seem to do much.
