For a tournament series (such as an 'all games' offering), does this system automatically eliminate those games with less than four entrants before it counts the necessary slots required for the remaining ones?

Dryznik: CLICK HERE for all open tournament for Halma 10x10. (Currently 20 tournaments)

Just go to the tournaments link, an in the "find tournaments" drop down box - choose Halma 10x10 and click show.

Also, as a rook - you are open to create new tournaments. There are no "site tournaments" like on other sites, all tournaments created on BrainKing are created by users. And as a rook, you can also create any new tournament you want also. So if you see something that you think people will sign up for, feel free to start your own. I will be happy to help if you need help in creating your own tournament.

In search of Halma tournaments to join I stumbled upon two ongoing tourneys; I stumbled onto 2 Halma 8X8s, The Hampsters and The Zoo Masters by clicking on 'Player List' then on page 8 and and player 'Stardust'. Where, how, can I easily find such tournaments for Halma 10 (or 8X8s) in an easy way to join? (Without going back to IYT!) The 'tournaments' in the menu column doesn't show ....! Why not a two week or a monthly sign-up tournaments section for Halma players and get something going without a half day's stumbling about and find practically nothing? Brains seem to be lacking on Brainking! ;)

Subject: Weekend "Live" Tournaments!
I have created this weekend's "live" tournaments. These tournaments will start every 4 hours, so that there should be a convenient one for any time zone or lifestyle. Each player will have 1 hour total, for moves. So this tournament will be over within 2 hours. (A bit longer possibly, as the system doesn't check constantly for time outs)

Obviously, all games may not be playable within these time constraints (Anti backgammon, for example), so choose carefully. If there ends up being interest in 2 hour per player alternate tournaments for these longer games, I will start those. Just PM me.

So, any weekend that you have a block of time available and feel like a quick tournament, check out the tournament list and maybe you will find one, convenient for you. Or go to this link to see all my "live" ones in one place:

http://brainking.com/en/Tournaments?trnst=0&u=3024

Any game with at least 4 people signed up (maximum 5), will be started at the listed time.

Have fun!

REMINDER!!!
The games will start up to an hour after the closing time!

Mathematically, there is no way for GuineaPig´s Club & HOME to each finish anywhere other than first place in their respective sections in the current anti-chess team tournament. Why not start round two now? Why make us wait??

srnity: the creator of a tounrement is in charge of who he wants in it, he may remove anyone he wants,he may have a good reason that has nothing personal to do with you, sometimes it's because a persons ratings have changed since signing up, in this case it's because you are not a rook, it's writen in the game profile, he just didn't set it up so you couldn't join

Question for whomever - I signed up for a tournie and was "removed from list by creator" - it's acceptable to do that with an open tournie - in other words, to pick who plays and who doesn't???.....

It is important to remember, that after changing the start time on the tournament, there is still another hour before the games are actually started.

Subject: Question
when you are playing in the finals of a tourney vs a higher ranked opp. and you lose 3 games and win 0 to that person. will your rating be affected as it is 1 loss or 3? If it is looked at as 3 wins. Than each time you beat them the next game becomes worth less rating points? so you could lose lot of rating points if you go up 2-0 and end up winning 3-2it might actually cause you to lose more points than gain, even though you beat them. So it might look something like this 22pts for win 1. then win two might be worth 10pts then win 3 might be worth 2. But if i lose game 3 it might cost me 70pts which might not be able to be made up! coudl someone clarify this!
