Herlock Sholmes: "2 out of 3" would be simply a "2 win match", 4 out of 7 would be "4 win match" they are the same just not called the same as to what you are accustomed to. As far as the 10 game match, it shouldn't be confusing, it is simply a "10 GAME match", you either win by wining more than 5 games, lose by losing more than 5 games or tie by winning 5 games, if it were the way you suggested it would have to be called a "most points in x games match"
AbigailII: thanks Abigaill ... I think this current system is a little bit confusing ... lets say 10 games match would make sense if players would earn different scores in every game ... 10 game match would make sense if we added points for each game of Dice Poker for each player ...for example, 190 points for player A and 217 for player B in the first game, 202 for player A and 224 for the second player in the second game, and so on, till the last, 10th game (each time totaling these scores) ... otherwise it doesn't make sense to me ... we should introduce the system 2 out of 3, 3 out of 5, 4 out of 7 and so on ...
Herlock Sholmes: No, a 10 games match lasts 10 games. If you want a match where the first player to reach 6 points wins, you should play a 6 points match (aka 'best of 11').
This may be more of a topic for one of the chess boards, but for any dice chess games, I will ONLY try to take 1 of any of the 2 "matching" pieces (with the exception if it is in danger of taking my king)
Since if all you have left is a pawn & king, well then you have a 50/50 chance of moving the king each time (so attack with king) - If your opponent has 6 different pieces left, then they have a lot less of a chance of moving the pieces they want.
So yea, if I have a chance to take someones last rook, but that rook is not putting my king in danger - I will not take it to help my odds more.
skipinnz: I think you are talking about 10 wins option(the first one) ... I am asking about the third option, the number of games played, not number of wins ...
strange chase begins at move no. 68 and after 13 moves I loose the game having huge material advantage ... single king made it ... and honestly I was sur this game is mine ... after a while I realized in panick, that I may loose ...
I play this game with passion ... the more I play it, the more I am excited ... it's the only game I know in which by losing pieces you actually increase your power ... to the point that a single king alone can be the most dangerous weapon for all your heavy pieces and your kings still on the board ... why is it so ? well, statistics is the answer ... when you have only one king you can be sure yuor next move can only be done by your king ... it creates very uneasy situation for your opponent ... even having a queen, two rooks, knight and pawns your victory is not certain ... this single king will try to come close to your pieces and if luck won't be on your site, you will loose these pieces ... it's the only game I know you can enter the mouth of a lion and still get out of it as a winner ... it's the only game your pawns can bypass heavy pieces with grace and get promoted ... it's the game of luck and intricate tactics (more than it looks at first) ... a game of fun after all ... thanks to the inventor for creating this game for us.
GBear58: The color codes don't mean that you get any discount. The price is still the same but after you pay, you will be given some free months as a bonus, up to 125% of the membership you paid for.
GBear58: I would imagine it would be the same as any other time except it would be double black rook and you could give one away....but thats only a guess
If a person were to buy a Black Rook membership under the Red Code, would that give that person two black rook memberships (as in one to give away or whatever?)
Fencer: That would be great - but a suggestion - if someone currently has 0 vacation days left, can that be transferred over with the new vacation day system?
Fencer: You want to tell us how the new vacation system is going to look like? Perhaps we'd even give some useful feedback to incorporate in the changes before it's live.
Hrqls: I think that I won't wait for BrainKing 3.0 to be completed and release a new (simpler) vacation system much sooner (in a week?). That would solve all problems like this once and forever.
Bernice: when vacation days are set they are substracted from the total of vacation days at once .. even when the vacation day itself still has to come
for example : suppose i have 10 vacation days left and i use them all for the following 2 weeks .. then you would see a total of 0 vacation days left on my profile .. but i still wont timeout the following 2 weeks
if i remember right you can see wether someone has set some vacation days in the future already .. i am not sure weither it shows it when 'today' is set as an vacation day though
something else that could have happened is when someone changes his/her weekend days .. the old setting might have been used (because it was still valid then) while you see the new setting when you look at it later (and in the time between someone has changed the setting)
Bernice: If said person had one day of vacation left at midnight today, timed out on another game earlier today, by the time (s)he times out on another game today, (s)he has no days left (subtracted earlier today), but still gets the 24 hours extra (since you don't lose more than one day vacation each day).
Hi people! What kind of "rook" is this one? It seems like an angel, to me. But it's not right: everybody knows that I (ME, MYSELF) should be the angel... eheheheh
