Hi Gammon Lover Friends,

If you don't like to join to the Gammon Tournaments without end, and have enough time to play fast, you may find good the following news!

Some Gammon Tournaments prepared for the faster players. This is the 4.th organization of the best and fast players any Gammon Games in 10%.

In the 1.st organization, all players were invited privately messages. But, after than 2.nd organization, choosed publicly announce the Tournaments here in the public tournament discussion groups and some fellowship groups.

Inside the top 10% any type Gammon players (Back, Nack, Crowded, Race, Hyper, Anti), has the right of join, to this Tournaments before the begin time. (April, 15, 2006).

Match type: 3 points match with doubling cube
Tournament type: one match for each two players
Maximum number of players per section: 8
Final match type for two players section: 5 points match with doubling cube
Time control: Time: 2 days, Bonus: 3 hours, Limit: 9 days, no days off (red signed)

(That means after beginning you have 2 days (48 hours) for your first move. Per your another move, you'll have 3 hours bonus for your other move time. 9 days is limit time for the opponents, after the move of other side.)

Please click to the Tournament addresse and 'feel free to join only if you inside of top 10% in any Gammon Games'; to any type of Gammon Games (for now we have only six type of Gammon games).

MidnightMcMedic: He would like a tournament set up when all the present Alquerque tournaments are over with. So any pawn now playing in one can enter this one. With the top 28 established players and the top 36 provisional players in it if people are intereasted.

*scratches head* not sure about that but maybe....

When the running tournaments are over
I find it nice idea,when a tournament will be hold,where all or allmost all of the ranked players will appear,
the 28 players with a rating an let's say 36 with a provisional rating

do you find this a good idea,
and are you free,just
drop a note,to say you will enter

and top 28 players,do specially....

how more of you will enter,how greater the tournament

Mr. Shumway: Someone might be "retired", which means they are still "in the stairs", but are currently not shown on a step and can not challenge or challenge anyone else.

Hrqls: That is a bit strange, because on the list of all game types of that stairs it says 11...

fismoluni: so far as i can there are only 10 players on that stairs

maybe the stairs or the game type itself needs some more advertising :)

yoyudax: you can resign your games in the tournament, but the tournament wont be finished before all games of all players in the tournament are finished

so you can resign your games, but will still have to wait for the others to finish

but: when your games in a tournament are finished, and you have no chance to continue to the next round, then you can ask fencer, nicely, if he can remove you from the tournament so you can join a new one. he is the only one who can do it .. so be gentle :)

Is it possible to resign from an active tournament?

all you have to do is click on the stair that you want to see

fismoluni: you can go to all the public stairs in the left menu, in which you can click on a specific stairs in which you can click on a specific game to see all the participants in the game in that stairs

but there are also stairs inside the fellowships, there is no global list for all those stairs combined i think

when you want to see all the participants in a specific stairs you are in, you can click on the stairs and see their names though

There are still 3 spots left at the happy birthday tiv noi tournament (Anti Line4, 8 players, single elimination), starting on sunday! I'd be glad if it started in time, because it's a birthday tournament ;)

Hrqls: thx for the answer, but what I would like to see is a list of all the participants in the stairs and on what stair they are, is that possible? and if not someone knows why?

Like I had said before, the player who is now under the 1800 limit was over 1800 just a short bit ago, and was probable signed up before his rating dropped. (You can click on the "chart" of the player to see how his rating had just went down).

I've seen strange settings all the time, that's what makes the tournaments interesting - always something different to choose from.

Dolittle: That player was probably unrated when (s)he signed up, but has since become rated.

Nirvana: Beats me but I am thinking it has nothing to do with the rating. Don't know how he could set that up!

I got the same message Nirvana did with a 1746 rating but a player with 1742 rating is signed up. I see no logic in that!!
