Regarding Fencer's latest posting (on Brainking.info), concerning players from around the world...
It would be interesting to see accurate statistics on where players are actually playing from. Some players say they are from countries that they are actually not from (I always get my hopes up when a player says they are from Tibet). It would be nice, since Fencer is able to, to see one set of accurate statistics showing how many players actually play from their own countries. I know how time-consuming that would be I guess...

At least, shouldnt there be some way to resign the games in one turn each? As it is cirrently, I only lose 3 points to resign a game. At that rate it can take me a couple of months just to resign my way out of the tournament!

offer a double then resign when it is accepted. or if the other side is amenable.  they can also offer you adouble afterwards then you can accept it and your out in one game

Once the rules of this game changed, the tournament should have been deleted and the started over. Its not fair when the parameters of the game change after someone signs up for it!

I want to get out of this tournament without losing my BKR for this game. Please fencer help me!?!?!?!?!

Pbarb2: You can't "delete" boards - but you can do what you said (change name of board to "." - so most will not find it.

To delete all messages, either click delete on all messages, Ask Fencer to do it for you, or probable the best - click "Edit" and change the read access to "Brain King" - that way not even you can see the messages in the board (so it looks like everything is gone)

Then just post in the description of the board "This board is closed." or something like that.

Getting rid of fellowship Board.
Go into the edit for that board and change the name to a period, then change who can read and post to king, all that will be left is a " . " that most people will never find and if they do they cannot go to the page anyway, but you know it is there in case you want to start it up again someday
I saved this in my notebook. I don't know where I got it.
I want to get rid of two boards and the messages. Where do you put king if that is what we are to do? On that part on who can read the board it has choices..no place to write anything.
Thanks for any help.

Otsikko: Re:
Rose: Close enough. Except that it's not the act of posting that counts but the act of opening the board page. You don't even have to post to be counted as a visitor, just open that page.
So, if someone posts a post just before midnight (server time), and then 100 people go there to read it the next day, it may become one of the most popular boards, even if no messages are posted for that whole day...

Dolittle: When you go to see the messages on a board you are counted as a visitor. For the rest of that day you are not counted again for that board, even if you keep going there to see new messages.
What counts is the number of different visitors to the board (readers), not the number of posters.

Gr☺uch☺: (*)The player who finishes at least 4 rated games of one kind (everybody who defines a new game can specify whether the game will be "rated" - the result will be calculated for BKR - or not), earns "provisional BKR" displayed by italic font (e.g. 1870). After finishing 25 rated games of one kind the provisional BKR changes to "established BKR" and is displayed by normal font (e.g. 1853). If you complete more games, your BKR is more accurate because is based on more results.
