WatfordFC: if he now has more vacation than his paid entitlement, then I agree that is a problem.

Seems Fencer is looking into it so try not to let it bother you though. worse case is it takes an extra couple of weeks to time out

WatfordFC: i have never done it but my guess is he cancelled other booked vacation. As a paying member he is entitled to use these days and he is playing within the rules. You do not have to play in tournaments of such length if you wish to complain. Create your own and play in tournaments where you are unable to use vacation days. That will solve to problem.

I hope I have made this clear enough this time. You're welcome

SafariGal: I dont think u get what i am saying, this is a tournament game, he knows he is losing so doesnt play the game out he does it with other gams with other people as well. He only had 6 vacation days left, and now he has 17 days, how is that then?

Teema: Re: Backgammon Race Ratings and Rankings
WatfordFC: he is allowed to do that under the rules right? I have a match going which I set to no vacation days and only 2 hour topup each move and he is still doing fine in that game. He has to make a move every 2 hours from when I move basically. I suggest setting up such games in the future if you want quicker moves otherwise there is nothing to complain about

Backgammonfan29: You do let them time out, the ones your losing u let them time out and then u let your auto vacation days take over. You are doing that at the moment with a few tournament games.

joshi tm: since you are trying to lose, it's easy to keep a couple of men back and get backgammoned, so most likely a game that has been doubled will be worth 6 points

JMD & NIRVANA: What I'm wondering is why you think we care how good you think you are? You clearly have some issues to deal with that have nothing to do with backgammon.

Let's get back to talking about something interesting.

JMD & NIRVANA: I did not mean to make it sound like it was wrong to switch accounts, just wanted to point out that with your old account, when you were an active player (before the fall out at the end), at the best rating, you were only a top 15 player or so.

I see it all the time - someone wins a few games, sometimes as little as 4 and has the highest rating. Good luck in trying to stay up there.

JMD & NIRVANA: I doubt you will ever PLAY 1,000 games, but if you play 3,000 against randomly selected opponents, I can guarantee you will lose at least 1,000.

And, I should add, if you only lose 1,000, you will be rated at or near the top.

JMD & NIRVANA: But the account you used before your current one, you were only in the top 15 or so at your best. http://brainking.com/en/BKRGraph?u=9213&tp=26

Sure, keep changing user accounts and get a few lucky wins can easly put you on top - which is why there is established ratings to beter rate people. Most sites use 400 games to get an established backgammon rating, here it is only 25 - which you have not made it to yet with your new account.

Whats this all about ,you win 7 games, play a lower rated player and lose 72 BKRs
All these gammon games are the same you lose one game and it takes you 3 or 4 games to get your BKR back up.

You're right, one should really not have the option of a draw in backgammon. However, we all know backgammon is only along for the ride on this site

someone just offered me a draw in a game where the cube was at 2. I was curious what would happen so I took the draw. Each of us was awarded 0.5 point, the cube had no effect.
