 Chess variants (10x8)

Sam has closed his piano and gone to bed ... now we can talk about the real stuff of life ... love, liberty and games such as
Janus, Capablanca Random, Embassy Chess & the odd mention of other 10x8 variants is welcome too

For posting:
- invitations to games (you can also use the New Game menu or for particular games: Janus; Capablanca Random; or Embassy)
- information about upcoming tournaments
- disussion of games (please limit this to completed games or discussion on how a game has arrived at a certain position
... speculation on who has an advantage or the benefits of potential moves is not permitted while that particular game is in progress)
- links to interesting related sites (non-promotional)

go figure why some people really do not love to live in a big public soap opera - LOL
despite of the topicless spamming here - still I'm not interested in hectic games with
running rabbits, any deputy/mercenary fights or, folks hiding behind skirts, either ... ~*~

Thanks for that post, frightening stuff. Shall I tell you about my recruitment drive for slaves(internet, of course)?

how much (US) does a goth set retail for? Are they sold on amazon and the like? Have you ever considered a convertible board that could change from 8x8 to 10x8 or do you feel that would detract from your primary focus of distancing goth from chess?

I'm sorry to hear that, but I thank you for your candor. Korea has been full of epiphanies regarding my previous standard of male-female normalcy. My grandfather is German, so I got a taste of that from him, but it's a whole new ballgame in Asia. I could never understand the whole mail order bride thing until I actually saw first hand why some wanted to leave.

thanks, the last thing i remember was a fallopian tube and a bris. I still can't divine what happened, but maybe some things are left unsaid.

Redsales.. to answer your question.. Yes.. dano and I met in Oct of 2000.. I was just getting my divorce papers and was a bit bitter on the male population.. we met at IYT.. and through our chats I realized that men weren't all abusive and not trustworthy.. Dano came to Wyoming from Germany on May 22nd and had to return on June 7th.. to wrap some personal stuff up.. He was hoping to come back permanently. He mentioned it several times waiting for me to give him the go ahead.. but, I held off due to enjoying my freedom too much.. I wasn't really ready back then to make such a big committment.. That is also when I started to realize that different countries come with different cultures and upbringing.. what is possessive and obcessive over here in the states isn't viewed as such else where.. and vise versa.. some things American men are noted for are not necessarily happening in other parts of the world..

I ended up completely breaking up the relationship after I had started into college fulltime.. I didn't have the time to be online permanently as he had expected for me.. that was around Sept of 2002..

Well, personally, I wouldn't play you for stakes. I've played over some of your games and I think your moves are a tad too abstruse for me to have any shot of winning any dough. I know I have a theoretical shot at beating you, so if you ever want a "fun" game, I'm up for that. I know it probably irks you, the lack of competition on this site.
