Pbarb2: hmmmm that must be a flaw with Webtv

I know it was requested a while ago that once you hit 'delete', you would get a popup to confirm that is what you wish to do. It is a great idea and would solve these problems of deleting posts by mistake, maybe Fencer has not had chance to write the code yet (if he agrees that is lol)

Emne: Problem is solved.
I did not know that I deleted the post. I have a problem with the delete button. I explained it to Tuesday.
The delete button is right on top of the reply. It looks like this.
delete
reply edit
I pushed the wrong button. I did not know until it was drawn to my attention. I would have posted that it was deleted by mistalke.
Now is there any way that Fencer can put the delete button away from the reply? I am on webtv and that may be the reason it is like it is.
Thanks and sorry this happened.

Purple: I was going to say, much like it is bad form for cops to disagree and not show unity in public, the same credo can easily invade the global mod world.

It's a volunteer position, you're going to attract two types of people (and I've encountered both)One type is someone who just likes to help and be involved(the vast majority) the other tye is power tripping.

Emne: Re:
Tuesday: .... it is also WAY TOO EASY to accedently remove a post also. So not always is someone trying to be mean - but might have been an accedental hit of the delete button... and sometimes without even knowing..... since how this site loads, it is "funky" how the page will shift over while loading different parts - and if you line up your mouse to click on someting, and the page shifts and you then press the button - it could then be over the delete button..... and if the person is not paying attention, may not even know then done it. (I'm sure I've done that before on accedent) Of course only the moderators & global moderators see that option - but a request to have a second "confirm" page would be very helpful.

If the moderator does not know what happen to it - you could always try to repost it.

Emne: Re:
Tuesday: Yes I'm a global moderator, but I don't take issues here in the public boards.

If you have a question about something being moderated, you need to first talk to the moderator of the board.

If you feel they are wrong, or something else is wrong - a private PM to me (or another global moderator) can help by stepping in and trying to help resolve the issue.

If you feel you need my help, send me a private PM - let me know what you posted (if you remember exactly) and I can then see what I can do to help.

Tuesday: Did you pay for a 6 month rook membership - it is already in there in your profile - but is set to start after your knight membership expires.

If you want it to do something different, then you will need to send Fencer a private PM and let him know - since the automatic system will only "add on" the extra time to your existing membership.

Or you can just use the link: http://brainking.com/pt/BugTracker

Oh well..Its not that important.. But was wondering what is happening. I am on webtv so I thought maybe was because of that. I can't use some functions.
Thanks Coen

Pbarb2: For the time, it like you said it goes by server (Fencer) time - here in the USA, Central Time zone that I'm in - 5pm is midnight for the server.

So if I have a game use an auto vacation at 4:50pm - it will use todays auto-vacation. If I then have a second game use an auto vacation at 5:10pm - it will use tomorrows auto-vacation (since the server is already on "tomorrow")

Eriisa: Where is the bug tracker? I don't see that either.
You gave me an addy now so can get there. I thought it was a board.
I had this 0 thing about 4 times with games but never in the first time without playing a move. I know its only a game but if it is fixable it should be looked into.
Is there anyway to check on vacation time? I know when I have to use it on a Thursday the Friday comes up too. Usually a few hours after. I know we go by Fencers time. I don't think that is the problem. Just would like it checked out if it can be. Been going on a few months now.
Thanks for your help in this..Eriisa

I just got this game and I did not play yet and I got a zero on the one. I only have 3 hours left to play it. It will then go to vaction time.
I think my vacation time is messed up, too. Is there a way it can be checked out? This has been going on a couple months on the vacation thing. THanks..

Do we have to purchase a years membership to get vacation days ?

I purchased 6 months and did not get any

Surely if 6 months is available we should get half the amount a years membership entitles us to ?

tippyc: This is what the bug tracker is for. It's much easier for a maintainer to track bugs (including trivial things such as typos) using a tracking system than the boards.

Furthermore, noone else needs to be bothered.

this is on the first page of defining a new game, at the top it says

"Use this form to create a new game with non-specified opponent name. The game invitation will be posted to "Waiting Games" area where can be picked by any player."

it should say

"Use this form to create a new game with non-specified opponent name. The game invitation will be posted to "Waiting Games" area where it can be picked by any player."
