1) Why would initial positions with unprotected pawns be forbidden? In Chess960 there are also initial positions with unprotected pawns. (and it's not stated in the brainking rules). 2) How is castling performed? The BK rules state that the final position is like chess, but that's not possible due to the different board sizes. |
