It will be over day after tomarrow, so there should be a good shake up in ratings.

I don't think that is unfair, it is not outside the rules, however, for me, it takes the fun out of winning.

As far as that game it's like the one we had last week, a 50-50 chance if there is a 500-1000 point spread between 1st and 3rd and less than a 500 point spread between 1st and 2nd

BIG BAD WOLF: I have 3 other kids, one who is two years old, we are trying to keep life as normal (ha ha) as possible for them, yesterday I spent 14 hours there and today 13 hours. the hard part will be when my wife is released tomarrow and the baby will have to stay there until saturday. We will have to take shifts there, but my wife will be there more since I'm not equiped to feed him. This is the main reason that I quit playing 1 day ponds and have saved all my vacation days for my other games, sorry Pedro, no auto plays here, I know you will check my log-ins.

Pedro Martínez: thanks, I'm on my way back to the hospital now. He is in intensive care, but he will be fine, he wouldn't breath for about 2 minutes and turned as purple as Barney, they think the cord was compressed durring delivery.

Nothingness: still wouldn't work.I have changed the formula that I use 5 times, now how many times have others changed their formulas or strategies? end games have just recently had a major change by many that would completely throw away your research.

by the way, 35 is no longer a safe opening bid, I found that out the hard way, twice

Sujet: Re: How REsearch...
Nothingness: if you research 2 games only, it will not work because the game is always evolving and by the time you have the statistics that you need, strategies and tendencies for many have changed, not to mention that some people bid depending on the situation or the people involved, it would take you years to gain helpfull research. Why not play for the fun and challenge.

you are preaching to the choir here.
I'm just repeating the message

1. Juillet 2005, 02:54:23

at any rate I wonder how many people will start to do this now that they know how, and that its ok

1. Juillet 2005, 02:52:55

i guess it is because it says nothing about conspiring, and loosing on purpose in this case boosted someone elses ratings, besides he doesn't think it can be proved

Sujet: Re:
Pedro Martínez: I don't know if I believe that, but it soesn't matter anyway because I received a message from fencer stating that it is their right to consult each other on their bids, he does not consider this cheating, so now the pond games will become suspect. pitty

it is impossable to win unless 1. micropine is as stupid as he seems to be, or 2. we cheat

game guidelines #1 in the user agreement, NO CHEATING .......You may be banned

doubt it, they would have to pay for 2 memberships, but they obviously talked about their bids, knowing that ferjo was done, lets get real, same country, low BKR's, rediculous bids just 1 apart from each other. did they realy think that nobody would notice, I hope that people take notice and remove them from all ponds if nothing is done about this

30. Juin 2005, 01:18:46
Vikings
I think they should be removed from the game and banned from the site, no refund

30. Juin 2005, 01:11:56

it's so obvious it's pathetic, they didn't even try to hide it

Bry: just the formula that I am using on that pond, you will notice that 2 people bid lower than me, and the 1500 was way too high, now the end game can begin

put you, me, max and fur in that same situation and it isn't happening

I remember a lot of people splitting their remaining points at the end, thats what it looks like scarlet did and got lucky

those numbers must be way off, because I don't see how she could have won

Sujet: Re:
Pedro Martínez: thinking that way if I were Max, I would bid 4267, and fall in most likely

those numbers look goofey, botom line, Pedro still won. Looking at the date and the players, I can see how some of those bids happened

29. Juin 2005, 03:24:30

on a side note, I would wonder about cheating if it did work, and usually the players left at that point don't cheat. Look at "Wham Bam #34" I see no logical way to change the order of that game, unless I tried to gain points, then Maxina could pass me. but I see no way to pass Pedro. without cheating.

Sujet: Re: Percentage Wins(Regular Ponds) - This week's Top 25
BerniceC: because your winning percentage is less than 8.3%, you didn't make the top 25. Thats all that this system measures

23. Juin 2005, 03:28:07
Vikings
as I see it, the end game for "the very first run" is only 3 moves away from starting

23. Juin 2005, 00:12:39

Sujet: Re:
Czuch Chuckers: agreed, but it is illogical if you want any chance of winning, if all you want is 6th place or worse its fine

Sujet: Re:
Czuch Chuckers: 1000 opening bid as a standard is an illogical bid, especcialy if there are more than 20 people in it. imho

21. Juin 2005, 04:55:55
Vikings
or if we based the scoring on a x=2700 point system, 10th place might be something like x-950 or 1750
