Season 3 of Meerkat Manor is getting ready to start here in the US.

On Animal Planet - starts tomorrow night, Aug 10th. There is a 1/2 hour re-cap show of the first 2 seasons - with the 1/2 hour season 3 premier right after that.

Now I'm not the type of person to watch shows like this, but this one has me hooked. It's like a reality show - with commentary to always keep you aware of what is going on - but since it is animals, they don't "preform" for the camera or anything like that.

Start to watch it - bet you get hooked also.

Just watched the second movie in as many weeks where we see the US national guard in the movie is in uniform and the US flag is backwards on the right shoulder..
(hills have eyes 2 and Black Snake Moan)
Is this a Guard tradition or are the movie guys putting the negatives in backwards? Any input from US folks who know the answer would be appreciated.. Its stumping us!

Mousetrap: Ive never been a big fan of DiCaprio either... He did ok in this. Did you see The Departed? Not a bad movie either with him in it.

You know I was surprised that Forrest won an award for the King of Scotland. The lead character wasn't really recognized at all and did a great job acting in that!

I was surprised at King of Scotland as I knew nothing really about Amin so it was quite an eye opener. What a murderous tyrant.
DiCaprio did well in Diamond.

Rose: I have El Mariachi and Desperado as a set with Directors commentary. I haven't had a chance to watch El Mariachi yet (only got it a short while ago and gotta be careful of the kids. LOL )

I have seen DTD 2 and 3 and I agree they aren't as good as the first one.

We get PAL over here. I am a bit wary about ebay. I bought music DVD's from there and got 4 burns! Yeah they worked but they were just computer DVD's in slimline cases with no covers so I am very wary.

Kewl to meet you too.

TarantinoFan: Desperado was a fantastic movie! El Miriachi the first in the Desperado series was a small budget but a good start to the story line. (rodriguez is a great director, not fond of his spy kid movies but now that he has kids....) Once upon a time in Mexico wasnt bad but too much Johnny Depp and not enough Antonio and the Antonio storyline
Dusk till Dawn 2 an 3 arent keepers but worth watching..
Sin City is definitely a cult classic, love the dark movies.. Thats why I know Grindhouse will be amazing!  Can you get the movies you miss off Ebay? (You have NTSC or PAL videos?)

Kool to meet someone with the same taste in movies (not in to typical chick flicks!)

Rose: They have only just started advertising that one here today. I am so annoyed that we miss quite a few movies. I had to get 4 Rooms from the UK because it was never released here.

I think my next acquisition will have to be Killing Zoe. So far I own Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Dusk til Dawn 1, Four Rooms, Sin City, Kill Bill 1+2, Jackie Brown, True Romance and although he wanted to disown it I also have Natural Born Killers in my collection. And there is Desperado and Once Upon A Time In Mexico as well.

I took my family to see this movie...It felt like it Stallone's "farewell" to this character. It dealt more with the aging character and less with boxing, but the character development wasn't there. Overall I felt the story was shallow. I would only give it two and a half stars.

Subject: Disney Movie Reward Points
*** This message is mostly directed towards US DVD Buyers

On recent Disney DVD Movies, you can get "Movie Reward Points" inside the movies. This includes many of the Disney/Pixar cartoons, along with the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie.

Anyway, if you are buying these movies and don't plan on collecting the points - feel free to send me a private message with the point code.

When I last looked, the system they had to collect points was not very good. Even if you purchased every single DVD they release, you still would not have enough points for any of the "good" things. So I figured I would start to ask others who may not collect them and see if they wanted to share them.

So keep me in mind if you are not going to use & collect them. Thanks!
